I made it to the Doom of Omli - a one-eyed feathered chameleon. It wrestled my sword away from me with its rear leg. Then it murdered me with my own sword. How is that even possible!? It doesn't have any hands! I smell a bug.

welll it's a random gen creature and a chameleon, so it probably has grasps on it's legs.

  yeah just stick a grasp on the joint limbs also random gen demon or forgotten beast or titan? either way that sound like a rad way to go.


if that was a demon I would advise to seek out omil's true name because a demon using their thighs to hold a weapon is an awesome companion.

Some body entries have simplified limbs, ranging from one-piece legs (instead of upper and lower) all the way to legs and feet being combined into one bodypart. Most likely this beastie uses the ultra-simple limbs, which might include the [GRASP] token.

But being stabbed by an overgrown lizard thighsqueezing a stolen sword is a funnier mental image.

It was pretty rad. That's why I'm respecting that death instead of save-scumming. Unfortunately, Omli is the god's name. He's the god of fortresses, seasons, war, and valor. He brought in all the demons.

We're only on 0.43.05, so I assume you're a time-traveling heretic. D:

You can set saves to uncompress in the init files though, then examine world.dat or world.sav in a text editor to view the generated raws. Then find the exact beast via description and see what limbs it uses. Then check the body_rcp file in the raws...

gui/gm-editor df.global.world.raws.creatures.all and check the last hundred or so entries as that's where the proc stuff is, or go into the alphabetic list and go down a few pages until you find the d entries?

Wild, still unsure how it got the weapon away in the first place, I can trap a weapon with an arm or leg but only hands let me grab and keep it.
