Currently a crab woman who has attacked a few stray horses but they got away. i am now trying to find my way down from a mountain during winter. Unless the month of Slate is a different season and I am just reaally high up. How do you kill the slugs and other small animals you pick up? I can't attack them while they are on the ground.

She got killed by 3 dingoes a few days after writing her only poem and only song

Yes, though before that she did tire herself by trying and failing to kill stray horses, using her shield to block kicks and such

currently playing a goblin and building a bunch of minecart tracks(with dfhack), ended up realizing how many times my character or my companions could have died to a moving minecart on a circuit.
and slowly wondering setting up a security system like this is favorable.

Are the tracks persistent, or will they go once the adventure ends? I am wondering if it's feasible to make a transcontinental railway.

I assume they persist; it worked for this person.

That's made using fort mode, though. I used to have problems with buildings disappearing and terrain returning to the way it was prior to my involvement with advfort, assuming that's what he used.

oh oh yeah I was doing this on a campsite which saves everything, this wouldn't work in the wild.

My newly created dwarf peasant-demigod just inherited a barony, which I assume has something to do with the fight between some nobles I passed by when leaving the fortress. NOW, BOW BEFORE ZAS!

Does it save modifications to the terrain, like mining?

Currently on my long way to killing the only dragon in the world. I have a question, by the way. Are legendary creatures like dragons and hydras supposed to be one of a kind or am I just lucky like that? I've looked through legends and there are precisely one of each, no more no less.

Sometime it's just one of the beast in question. Sometimes it's more. Depends on the size of the world, and on how high you set the beast density in world-gen.

Thank you! It adds a nice RP perspective for me, knowing that this character was the one to eliminate all the megabeasts from the world, or at least died trying. And when I inevitably set up a fortress in this world and there will be one incredibly dangerous enemy less I'll know it was earned.
