You are standing outside a small village at night. Many houses in the village are on fire, and the sound of women and children screaming fill the air. A slow chant permeates everything - the indistinct words echoing long in the air... much longer than they ought to. The sounds are coming from the village square.


Nearby, a man behind a boulder jumps, startled at you for some reason. He suddenly gestures wildy with his hands for you to approach him. He is wearing a suit of red chainmail, he has a drawn longsword and a shield. On the shield is an insignia of a black cresent.


You are wearing a tunic and some breeches. You are holding nothing else. You do not have a backpack.


What do you do?

You take your pants off for some reason. The man in armor looks at you, horrified, but then resumes his gesturing. It feels cold in your nether regions.

What do you do?

You pick your breeches and start to walk towards the man in red armor. Upon nearing him, he begins to talk,

"Listen up, the Oros Cultists are sacrificing innocent townsfolk and we gotta take them out before they complete their ritual. We just need to kill atleast 4 of the cultists to stop the ceremony. Ok, so I'll head around the right and you can flank the le-"

You thrust the pants into his face.

"-What the hell is wrong with you?! Good Grace, it's just like the divine to send me an idiot. Bashak, I guess I just have to do this myself."

He stands up and begins to stealthily creep amongst the houses, heading for the village center.

What do you do now?

You suddenly have the notion to take the armored man's pants. You can see him flitting off into the village. You begin to chase after him. A stalker stalking a stalker. As you near the man, he turns around and sees you coming. For a second, hes hopeful that you came to aid him, but you lunge for his pants. Unfortunately, it's underneath his greaves. As you try to undo them, the man sighs exasperatedly. Grabbing the pommel of his sword, he bashes you in the crown of your head. You are dazed, and the man walks off, mutting over and over, "Bashak... A damned Bashak."

You pick up your breeches and drape them over your shoulders. Standing up woozily, you start walking to the town centre. You see a couple of cultists in a side street arguing over something. You are about to approach them when you finally see what they are arguing over - a bag of decapitated heads. Disturbingly, they contain only the heads of small children.

What do you do now?

You take off your shirt and twirl it into a whip shape. The cultists still havent seen you yet as you are hidden in shadows. Also, they are too embroiled in their arguing to notice you.

Glancing around, you notice that there are maaaaaaany better weapon choices - a discarded dagger, a metal pipe, a flaming piece of wood. But meh.

You try to summon a blackhole, but fail miserably.

You pick up the rusty dagger and the metal pipe. On closer inspection, both are rusty and probably cant survive much. You tie the pipe to the dagger with your tunic to form a make-shift polearm.

Slowly, you creep up on one of the cultists. You coil back, and pounce.
By pure luck, the blade of the dagger jammed into your target's throat. He spasms violently and promptly dies, blood spurting everywhere. The other cultist, a short man circles you warily. He pulls out a small bloody dagger. The edge glints in the light. Lunging at you, the man thrusts his dagger into your face. You try to sidestep but trip on your feet. The dagger slices a cut across your left hand. You pick up the polearm and thrust it towards the man again. Seeing you still alive, the short cultist turns and runs towards the village square. He's probably going for backup.

You lop off one of the dead cultist's fingers and begin gnawing at it. Needs more salt.

Look for a way to GAIN THE HIGH GROUND

We need to ambush his buddies when they show up.

Also, cut off the rest of the fingers. Toes too. We'll need them as throwing ammo.

[RAM]

Use MAKESHIFT POLEARM on ground near door.
Tie BREECHES to door of house and MAKESHIFT POLEARM.
the bag of severed heads could be pulled back into the breeches to make a high-tension headapult that could launch a great volley of severed heads at the incoming cultists. do that...
