Just what it says on the tin.

I normally use Spreggo's tileset (Autonomous_Font.png), and granite doors are basically black holes of black blackness.  No other granite construction that I've seen is similarly black.  I have granite walks, granite floors, granite cabinets, and they're all a dark grey, but you can actually see the details.  With the doors, you just see a black square.

I've been fooling around with different tilesets today, and discovered that granite doors were just as black in several other tilesets as they are in Spreggo's.

I went poking around in the raw txt files to see if there was anything obvious that could fix it, but I didn't spot anything.

Is there a way to make the granite doors something other than an undifferentiated chunk of black?

Though on a more serious note

That's worse than completely black granite doors!

Thanks.  That last link told me how to fix it, and I did.

I'd like to thank you too. I've been having that same problem with MayDay's tileset for a while.

It's not that bad,  I prefer playing without a graphics set.  I find it's far easier to figure out what you're actually seeing when you're using nothing more than a tileset.

You can alter that specific tile of your tileset (be careful which gfx editor you use, some of them will mess up the color information when you save the file) so it has some background or transparent pixels. You can also change the background color of granite to something other than black in the raw\objects\matgloss_stone_layer.txt.

As a last option... don't use granite doors. If your whole map is granite that might be tough. But good luck anyway.
