By stream do you mean brook?  Damn, that is a nice site, but I much prefer Rivers...  :(

So of all the things you can do in DF, it's the fractal artifacts that make you think dwarves are crazy.

Never mind the magma falls, the atom smashers, the cog-and-axle turing-complete computers, or the colonizing of Hell itself... all those are fine, but man, those recursive artifacts! Where do they get such ideas?

Idd, it's brook...but damn, i am still feeling lucky(after days spent on BORING sites(imagine 30 yrs with NO siege, no water, almost no trees, NO caravans, lol :E)).
..i assume it must be ridiculous topic for people that know how to use "search site" option..

I've found rivers and mountains to be mutually exclusive, in my experience.

Unfortunately I've found the same.  It's just difficult to create a good moat out of a brook.

Isn't good wall better than moat, and floodgate gate better than bridge(i never seen wall destroyer, maybe that's reason..)?
Or you are suggesting that brook will dry soon and bye, obsidian, hheh..?

btw, is microcline linked to obsidian in any way? i noticed(with ANGER) that where's obsidian, there's GODDAMN microcline:E - my site lost all fun, actually :(

Microcline's linked with obsidian, and every other goddamned layer stone. So, wherever you go, there'll be huge chances of finding microcline.

I am not sure how, but you may download whole thing at beginning of post.
I am afraid raw data  may be useless because of mods i used(that are adding stone types etc etc)..
Although quitting game i included in pack and reentering world(start playing..) should keep cursor at that position.

Gorges create the best sites for fortresses in my opinion, they always seem to have an abundance of rocks and normally occur in a low rain, high volcanicity gens iirc.

Do you have Hidden Fun Stuff, flux, a bottomless pit, or underground water features? If not, I'm going to have to be contrary to Piecewise and simply saw Awesome Dwarf Party Resort.

If you don't like microcline remove it from the RAWs.
