It's possible for soldiers (or any Conservative caught in a trap) to crawl away and escape from your Squad while you're engaging them on the tile. Also, I have seen the odd trapped Conservative shoot at me despite his injuries; this is, from my personal experience, extremely rare. But, for all intents and purposes, they're trapped in the same tile as the trap until the siege ends unless you kill them.

You can "reactivate" those trapped soldiers by (K)idnapping one of them. This will wake them all up and allow them to attempt to fight back. Some of them will be near death and just moan though.

I guess it's permanent, but safehouses aren't. You can lose business safehouses (although you get a new randomized one in return).

Firemen do a nice job of this, too.

Yah, it sounds like minecraft with content, you have obviously missed the point, people dont like content, they like different coloured blocks.
Seems to work fine with my copy. As soon as I loaded the human caravan came by and the world burst into fire.

Er.... no. You'll have half of the entire LCS killed if you attempt to "allow" firemen to burn down the warehouse to that extent. Since:

a) AFAIK, those flamethrowers have to actually HIT someone to start a fire. Could be wrong here.
b) If your squad is standing in a tile with fire in it, EVERY LCS MEMBER in the base has a chance of catching fire. Quite a high chance too.

Hmm... hey, can those wandering enemy squads be damaged and killed from moving through burning tiles? Would it be possible to have a fire start near the entrance of the base, then run away and win automatically when all the enemies burn to death on their own?

No, it isn't possible right now. If it were possible to damage enemies outside your tile with fire, firemen would be immune to this.

You'll have half of whatever poor bastards you left in your safehouse killed. This could easily be as few as one. And he doesn't have to die, merely has to be at risk for a little bit.

I still insist that firemen do a really nice job of this.

It just occured in my safehouse by accident. The CCS threw ONE molotov at my guys. That was enough for the fire to spread and turn the whole place to ashes. Had to hold the S key a long, LONG time though, and also involved dodging the spreading flames.
