My favourite would be A Still More Glorious Dawn.

Discovered these a while ago. I believe Josh linked to one in a game thread a couple months ago. All are good, but some are better than others.

Ooooo, that's cool!

The line "science is the poetry of reality" reminds me of a something Dr. Michio Kaku said in an interview on TechTV.  Went something like...

"People say to me, 'You know, you must not be able to see beauty in the world, anymore.  I really pitty you.  I bet when you look at a painting, all you can think about is photons, molecular structures, and quantum theory.  You can't even art as just art.'  And I tell them yes, that is what I see when I look at a painting.  But a painting is beautiful to me because I see the complexity behind how it exists.  Not only what it is, but how it is, at all.  And in that sense, in this universe, I am surrounded by art."

It's been a few years, so that's probably a mashup of one or two quotes from the hour-long special centered around him, but to this day I can think of no better way to explain why an understanding of scientific principles and knowledge can enrich life.
