What's your largest (NPC or player-built) city?
« on: April 01, 2010, 06:50:38 pm »

I'm posting this because of some "holy-crap" moments in the world I just generated. By city, of course, I mean dwarf fortress, or town, or forest retreat, or whatnot, as long as it's a gathering of people. I'll paste these straight from the file I got them from:

322: Rithewom, "Weaksinks", a town
Owner: The Band of Flames, humans
Parent Civ: The Nation of Hermits, humans
   warlord: Kulur Splashrushes, human
   201 humans
573: Rostfenolith, "Balddaggers", a town
Owner: The League of Scenarios, humans
Parent Civ: The Satiny Nation, humans
   warlord: Luto Gleefultamed, human
   536 humans
579: Th bisi, "Pridenets", a town
Owner: The Coalition of Communions, humans
Parent Civ: The Satiny Nation, humans
   warlord: Nod Innscry, human
   931 humans

Nine hundred and thirty-one people in one town. I guess it might have to do with the worldgen lasting 1050 years, but still.

So this doesn't become just about MY crazy city-sizes, post your own. Have you decided to make a dwarf fortress with a crazy FPS-crashing number of people? Ever seen any cities larger than this? Ever explored any cities larger than this? I'd love to know what a 1000+ person ANYTHING would look like.

EDIT: minor typo.
