Forsaken Beasts are just wow...some are creepy, some are ridicolous.

I generated a few worlds with 1000 titans/megabeasts just to check them out. Interstingly, it looks like not all animals are eligible to be used as a base.

I think Toady watched some japanese monster movies while coding this, since many of the beasts would be quite at home there 8)

Not all of them have - checking my legends, I had a titan that died in year 2 (not entirely sure how, haven't checked), and a few other megabeasts had death-dates as well.  They're mostly just intensely tough, it seems.

I see a few megabeasts get killed by other megabeasts at times.

Okay, so, today this girl I know-Lauren, just took a sudden dis-interest in talking to me. Is she just on her period or something?

My third genned world has two buffalo monsters.  They have the same characteristics and are both associated with murder.

One has the title of "The Nightmare of Deceivers", the other "The Deceiver of Wickedness".

I wonder what would happen if they encountered one another?

I had a megabeast in one world, didn't grab a screenshot or anything, but it had over SEVEN THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED kills. Over 1050 years of worldgen. Someone was busy.

I had a pink giant rat demon who just happened to be an exactly copy of another, more proeminent giant rat demon that assumed the control of a gobbo civ. This one tricked a human civilization it was a manifestation of their god of wealth, around year 32. At the same time it forced the humans to create the position of master with threats of violence, and so it became the "master" of that human civ.

For about 30 years it moved out of a hovel to another, more times then I can count, until it decided to challenge a named bronze colossus to a fist fight in year 68.

It became the first and only megabeast/titan/fiend to die in my world, crushed under the mighty fist of an awesomely named bronze colossus with a 150~200 kill score. I'll check legends again and post the screenie later.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Before I even started playing fortress mode I popped open Legends in my first world and saw, at the very top of the list... Gasmsex the forgotten beast. :(

I believe that demons are randomly generated as types, not individuals: Note the "number of demon types" worldgen parameter. So yeah, your world probably has a bunch of pink giant rat demons of the same demonic race or whatever.

The first demons I found were Chocolate Demons, just in time for Easter.

I got a forgotten beast that was a dinosaur with chocolate scales. I laughed...then I realized that's because the game has a 'chocolate'colour. Still, hilarious.

2 giant fleshless giant skunk monsters in vaguely humanoid form break free from the underdark, one goes on a killing spee (amonst the elves) and ends up dead 608 years later: slain by an arrow, his tally 105 kills.

the other convinced a civ of humans to accept him as a judge (or something to do with law), and lived in that civ for the entire gen.
