You know what this game needs?

We need a way to keep metal in a molten form. I've just mined out three veins of gold in quick succession, and now I can't stop thinking about a throne room with a pool of molten gold in the center.

Fill a pool with 2/7 magma and throw pieces of gold in there every season. Three veins will keep a one tile pool going for as long as you play ;)

Well, seeing as magma is molten rock, and gold ore is a type of rock, you could just dump some native gold into it every now and then. And it would technically be a pool of molten gold.
