Final match!

   4. Greiger
vs.
   6. Criptfeind

This followed same pattern as previous Criptfeinds matches: Dogs swarmed opposition and covered everything like biting blanket, cheving off ears, heads and lungs.

Bob and his archer friend fought valiantly and took a lot down with them while in matrial trance, but alas, they did not even get close to Criptfeinds dwarves. Greiger was soooo right being nervous about this.

All hail Criptfeind, legendary champion, victor of may championship!

---

So here it is, this was fun(tm). Stay tuned for next chanmpionship.

I wonder if dogs should be nerfed, but lesson from this is that each point you spend on dogs on embark is well spent.

Bob: "Every time I cut one theres 3 more in it's place! They. Won't. Stop. Coming!

Hey you come back here with my gauntlet!  Oh god my arm!  its like 100 needles sinking into my delicious arm flesh!"

And Bob the swordsdwarf was last seen buried under a pile of ravenous miniature poodles.  Their perfect white fluffy fur slowly taking on a reddish tinge.

That was entertaining.  At least I made it as a finalist.

Make dogs something like 25 points each.

For the next tournament:

7 Dwarves, each with:
1 Copper Crossbow
30 Copper Bolts
Proficient (5 Points) in Marksdwarf

The rest of my points go to dogs (with current points system, 29 dogs).

Dogspam me now bitches!

Very well, so we have three participants already. I guess 8-player tournaments are going to be max for me, so lets wait for 5 more people to join up.

I have to say, setting up combat was somehow frustrating because there is no clean way to get rid of misplaced placed critter. (forgot to set correct side, dammit!, forgot to scroll to dwarf and placed aligators, damnit! etc...)

1 cow in full steel armor.

Spend the rest in dogs.

I don't think you can embark with cow-armor. Unless, of course, you want one very ugly dwarfess in full steel armor :) and call her cow (moo!).

If applications are still open I want of team of seven unskilled butt-naked dwarves armed with bronze whips, any remaining points go towards donkeys.

   [TITLE:MADDWARFS]
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
shield and spear goes to speradwarf(1)
axe to axedwarf(2)
breastplate and helm to (1) and (2)
(3)(4)(5)(6)(7) get hammer, buckler and leatherarmor (Could it be ITEM_ARMOR_LEATHER:CREATURE_MAT:DWARF:LEATHER please, they use their own skin to create armor out of it)

If tactics allowed, place cats in front, then hammerdwarfs and speardwarf, and last one axedwarf

If this is still on, I'd like to enter:

Presenting:
[TITLE:BRONZE CATS]
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Basically, give all of the bronze swords and bronze armour to the two dwarves with proficient fighter and proficient swordsdwarf. Then add the cats. If possible, name the two dwarves "Hamlet" and "Macbeth".

I wasn't sure if dwarves needed 1 or 2 gauntlets or 1 or 2 boots. Basically, if they only need 1, use the rest of the points for more cats.

Also, if we are allowed/you need more entries, here are a few silly animal armies:
CRAZYCATZ: 115 cats. No dwarf skills/armour.
BALZYBULLZ: 8 Bulls. 1 bronze helm for one of the bulls. No dwarf skills.
DOPEYDOGZ: 41 War Dogs. No dwarf skills/armour.

Yes, it is still on. Applications for Competition #2 close on friday, 22. 4. 2010.

I still have three preparations to make:
1) Better, bigger tileset.
2) "Red" and "Blue" dwarves
3) More interesting arena map that would look better in videos.

If applications are still open I want of team of seven unskilled butt-naked dwarves armed with bronze whips, any remaining points go towards donkeys.

Dunno If you can embark (damn rules!) with whips, will have to check if that is possible...

If tactics allowed, place cats in front, then hammerdwarfs and speardwarf, and last one axedwarf

Frist round starts with all dwarves of one side in one row with animal forming rows in front of them, like in videos.

Seven humans in robes, thongs and sandals. All remaining points to be distributed equally between Striker, Kicker and Dodger.
You can see where this is going, can't you?
