I notice everyone missed his Tunnel Tube shield. If I recall, tunnel tubes are... hot pink....  :-\
i thought they were purple :\
When in tree-form, they are indeed pink. As soon as you cut one down and turn it to log-form, it becomes purple.

so, fresh tunnel tube is pink, but once it dries and hardens it becomes darker

Thats gota be the first thing in this game to use any sort of logic other then the dwarven kind.

It's a little-known fact that Cave Swallowmen have fantastic abs.

50+ pages, here we come!

We should move this to DF Dwarf Mode Discussion, it's more often treaded, and this is more the type of thing you'd find there. This is more for... Fake science on the biology of dwaves and whatnot.

Cave Swallowmen are, in fact, guardians of the Dwarf Fortress world, able to manipulate the fabled RAWs at will. Modifying creature files and descriptions at their whims, they have given themselves both arms and no arms. They are said to be sent from Above, from the Twelfth Bay of the Internets (that is, heaven). It is said that they keep order where there was none, strike down the Bugs of old, Nerf the legendary +elf bone bolt+s spoken of in the ancient tales, and keep company with the angels themselves - Morul, the angel of wisdom and labor, Ironblood, the angel of war and battle, and Cacame, the angel of feasting and vengeance.

Hail Armok for this gift of fine Swallow Man, let him be praised.

I suggest that you first fill his chamber with water, then lava, his body will be encased in obsidian. Take said obsidian and turn it into a sword: it is guaranteed to be the most epic one of all time.

You know, I think that the reason he kept on renaming stuff was because killing a forgotten beast with a wooden spear should be enough to make it an artifact 100 times over, and so the game made it an artifact 100 times. :D

Dwarven economics are still in the experimental stages. The humans have told them that they need to throw a lot of money around to get things going, but every time the dwarves try all they just end up with a bunch of coins lying all over the place.

Feel free to ask me any questions you have about logic/computing; I'm majoring in the topic.

I've read about this somewhere else; some guy's adventurer killed a forgotten beast and started naming his weapon over and over again. So it's a consistent bug.

Arkenstone, let me take a look at the problem of yours...
