Hopefully we'll be able to form cheeseblocks...

Are you thinkng about building a goat-cheese tower?
I would do that myself if I got the chance.  ;D

The Hot Season has arrived!
A section of the cavern has collapsed! x20
A masterpiece of Urist McUdol, Cheesemaker, has been defaced! x10000
You have struck *Cheesy blood pudding*!
Your fortress has crumbled to its delicious end...

Much like soap was the ultimate tower building material in the previous version, will cheese blocks become the new ultimate building material?

urist mcmayor: "so, what have you got to offer our fort?"
urist mccheesdorf: "I'm a high master cheese maker."
urist mcmayor: "cheese? oh, right, you'll be a great help.  we've been running low on building supplies."

I'm simply deducing that because people use cows instead of horses, cows must be better.

I couldn't continue reading the thread without stopping to comment here.

That's just stupid.

"Urist McDairyDwarf cancels make cheese: Handling Dangerous Creature" is my new favorite announcement.

Let's figure out how to milk zombies.

Oh god. Why? I hate my brain. My immediate thought from this was you could skip the cheesemaking process... Because I'm sure whatever came out would already be congealed.

The Elves were beautiful, Mistral Thrax admitted, in and elvish way, but it was his belief that the gods grew disappointed after a time because the elves -- being elves -- were essentially decorative but not particularly functional. They were content simply to live long lives and to exist. They did not nothing of any real value, in the opinion of Mistral Thrax."

Dwarven scientists have lost many a life trying to milk a zombie. The end result was worth it.

Dip Stick! The newest candy! Just dip it, then lick it!
Or try FUBAR! The best chocolate bar ever!
And you can't eat them, either, sadly. Even though it'd make sieges so much more fun; dwarves lining the walls, drooling and carrying sharp knives and forks, ready for the upcoming meals.

I am now MADLY resisting the urge to attach the [MILKABLE] tag to every creature I can think of (and several I can't)

Is there a use for blood yet? Can you dump it in a pond and make a pool of blood?

Not that I know of, although you can make blood cookable by adding a single tag to the raws.

You do know that slavery in illegal in dwarven society according to the raws right?

It's only slavery until the Supreme Court Hammerer rules them non-persons.

Then it's merely animal cruelty with a delicious byproduct.

That's really amazing.
Can you throw cheese in a Cow in adventurer mode, so it gets stuck on it's...eye?

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.
