Is there a way to switch the background color of engravings from white to black or another color?
The white background really bugs me. I tend to not engrave diagonals or floors, because it ruins the looks of my fortress.

Is there any problem with moving save games (that were saved with Mayday DFG) back to "normal" Dwarf Fortress and having them work there?
I mean, if I want to use the save games in normal DF later, do I just simply copy them over?

Nope, you also need to replace raw/objects in the save folder with original DF raw/objects

I have another issue with my "tweaked" tileset, it seems the transparency fails on anything that isn't a completely black tile (such behind a wall).

On the image you can clearly see the miner digging out the wall and the designated walls are just pitch black, aswell goes for the noble woodcutter that is designated to cut down the "pitch black trees".

Don't know if this is intended or not but its quite annoying. Legendary Miners (and possibly other dwarfs) flash with a blue box around them sort of like they are using the highlighted tile only when flashing. This is using Mayday_sans_highlight.png. Wondering if its a bug or intended (though I don't remember it happening before DF2010.)

Granite constructions- I'll hopefully be able to fix those. But please, before reporting a wrong symbol- check if it is allright in vanilla DF. If it's not then there's nothing I can do.

Will that also fix wooden bins? Or maybe they're supposed to look as they do now:

I imagine the border is a result of simply a different tile than they've used in the past, but the cross in the center is black. Is that because of the transparent tilesets or just how they're supposed to be? Or is it an issue on my end, Win7 or what have you?

I guess the more I think about it, the more it is intentional, just like changes to certain other tiles (bit coal, ores, etc).

Anyone know of an alternate labor management tool that works with MayDay DF?

Looks like chmod released a patch for DT that corrects the problem.  If it didn't fix it for you then submit a bug report to http://code.google.com/p/dwarftherapist/issues/entry

That did fix it, thanks, although I was able to get the previous version working with Ironhand's version of DF so I'll probably stick with that a while before coming back to MayDay.

Hey guys,

      So, i pretty new to DF, and I have been looking for a new "skin" or tileset as ya'll call it. I finally found DFG which i think will be really cool. BUT I cant get it to work!

   I downloaded the "latest version" from this site: http://mayday.w.staszic.waw.pl/df.php

  when i open it it says missing "index" from the data folder. It says it might be corrupt or improperly compressed. any ideas what's wrong/how to fix it?
