A picture is worth a hundred words right....

I ordered a bronze set of warplate made and it was done

This was just using the straight up vanilla raws for the creatures, and the rest was of course standard all round. Northren Sergals are fine...

EDIT:
was this the issue? warplate not showing up? or was this fixed at some point?

Yeah, they weren't showing up.
But after trying them out with a vanilla install as well, they now work. Thank you Hugo.

I'm guessing it was something wrong with my other install's raws.

i seem to be having an interesting time with !!SCIENCE!! i bought some northern sergals off the trade caravas ( it seems they can be pets/slaves) and now i'm going through a sergal-splosion the babys are named. and i have no idea if they'll become workable units, besides that dwarfs wouldn't feed them. so for the sake of science i decided to add NO_EAT NO_DRINK to the sergal raws and see how the pups grow.

sorry for the double post. after some experimenting. it seems the sergals grow back into ferals however they cannot be butchered or tamed. also they will not be fed ( hence me having to edit in no_eat No_drink) these sergals can only be placed on pasture "guard" duty. and put in cages or chained. while growing up it displays there emotions and thoughts. despite it always being content. and they loose this feature upon maturing to adult.

Hi! I got interested in this mod, and after downloading a random version off of DFFD, I fiddled with it a little. I doubt you all would like what I did to their entity files, but I spruced up their creature files a little bit. Seperated manes from fur, seperate colors for each, and added variations for their tails and claws. If nothing else, you can just use those bits!

Here's the hacked together version I made, it doesn't have pets at the moment, because I didn't really like the sound of other civs getting to have sergal pets.

beat me to it on modifications for them. i noticed the raws were very much following rain silves... ethics. if you even want to call something that would make a goblin speechless in terms of violence an ethic. which was the reason they were being wiped out on world gen as well as never making anything larger than a village. i decided to do some research on them as well as mixing them with the old mod. i doubt chronojiuj is going to be to happy with me but x.x the edit retains the other versions such as vanilla and genesis, but now has Classical which is the sergal cultures before rain took over and made it a militarism society. I also brought back the old weapons such as War scythes(southern sergal only) and Zweihanders( northern sergals only ) also southerns have cloths fitting for there desert environments and northern sergals have there original lack of modesty either a loin cloth or naked if there not a soldier.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=5255 contianes the original sergals and classic sergals(my modded ones)
to install drag grafics to where grafics go, and choose one of the sergal types and drag the text files inside( creature, entity and items) into RAW/objects

As I've said; if you want to make any changes or improve anything, do so. :)

so any call on the classical variation of sergals? if you need a list of changes to them:

added in the original weapons
war scythe
partisan
bec de corbin
zweihander
the new weapons still exist with the other change that only northenrs can make glaves and zweihanders. but southerns can make the war scythe. my rationality on the sword and scythe thing is that southerns are farmers. and there have BEEN LOTS of pissed off farmers in history http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_scythe

also the new weapons have been renamed from sergal **** to just a normal name ( it seemed a bit redundant x.x ) and crossbow has been renamed compound bow to make it unique from the normal bow in df. all items should be unique so there is no confusion with vanilla items.

clothing now follows the original lore
northern sergals do not care for cloths wearing loincloths or nothing( besides armor)

and southerns wear long flowing cloths (reference:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
)
storm cloaks
desert veils
mouth scarfs
shirts
sand skirts/kilts

ethics no longer reflect the normal rain stereotype. rain did turn 99% of the northern race into a war crazed army. however this is before her/if she never existed. which is very often the case in a df world. northern sergals are violent, but valiant. they will only attack those who are there enemy and will never attack a neutral race. northerns retain there cannibalism as it was considered normal to eat a dead enemy. southerns however will not eat the dead and will hunt and farm instead. they are also less violent and slightly more intelligent.

I see you included quite a nice bit of mine hehehe. Also I like the new weapon. Is there any improvement on the range of the "secret"? Also are you aware of the Diplomat issue?

edit again: May i use the new graphics? I wasn't expecting the desert cloths to be included the southerns looks so cute XD
