Funnily enough my AD type role had already gone through that process.

Come to think of it, part of the AD's huge power is the fact that it's a Death Antimiller.  A death antimiller is already regarded as one of the most powerful roles scum can have.

We should totally have a gentlemans agreement that the Mafia kills the lurkers the first few nights.

Only if everyone agrees to neither watch nor protect the lurkers nor any other action which would give one side advantage over the other.

There is no rule against using an Agent/Detective/Telepath on lurkers as well. And, to be fair, if the mafia is lurking, they deserve to be outed.
