Teldin's Mod: now 1.1 *new url*

I believe this is actually compatible with FFT's alcohol and food mod from the last version. I know the food mod does work. Note that if the files overwrite each other with the additional mods (ie. they're named the same thing) you'll have to copy and paste one of them into the other.

Anyhoo, mine adds a bunch of creatures, items, and foods, and a few new playable races, for v.33. You can find it here:

Toy dwarf skull? Not the most morbid thing many dwarven children have seen.

There are only 2 jams. Blueberry and Cherry. You need strawberry, sun berry, prickle berry and fisher berry jam. All of which would be great.

I think I actually accidently set the dwarf skull as buildable by dwarves. Which is pretty damn funny.

Anyway, it's very easy to add your own jams, but I'll add all those in for the next version.

Hmmmmmm. Also seems, in this version, that civs are a lot more robust.. last time you wouldn't get things like wyvern thieves storming into your fortress, but now you do.. And they're set to destroy buildings. And they sneak until you find them. How interesting.

Ok, here's how to change it: go into entity_default.txt, find the entry for wyverns, and change [NUISANCE] to [SIEGER]. Assuming anyone's even using this mod, hrar.

It's a lot harder when you can't eat your shrooms raw.

I died of suffocation almost immediately when I played as a wyrven.

game crashed when I tried to remove a cutlass as a archnid.

Are rock tubas actually feasible? I doubt even the stoutest dwarf could carry one for long. A thin sheet of brass is heavy enough and I doubt stone can be formed that thin.

Hrm.. how in the hell did you have a cutlass to begin with? Arachnids don't have any hands.   :eek:

This is my bad, I didn't think to check the body tags more closely. Both will be fixed when on the next version I make (probably tomorrow morning).

I'm also going to add FFT's alcohol and food mods to it if nobody objects, if I can convert them to v.33 properly.

Also, jams. Yay!

Also, rock tubas are just as feasible as rock trumpets or rock drums.

The cutlass got stuck in me. Wyverns only seem to have tails and stingers no other body parts.

If the game crashes when a player creature without hands tries to remove a stuck-in, I would guess that implies that Toady coded stuck-in removal with the assumption that an adventurer either has, or at least once had, hands. Something to test, I guess; has anyone tried to remove a stuck-in while playing as a normal adventurer race with both arms amputated?

No, I think the problem was that I forgot to include the modified body part for the wyvern bodypart tag. So you don't actually have any, uh, arms and legs and whatnot.

NEW VERSION: now comes with fixed stuff, and a bunch of added stuff. You'll have to gen a new world again. Sorry!
