One. There is no such thing as a 'shovel', you mad man. What are you even on about?

Two. I've died so many times in community fortresses that it's not funny. A good half of them I usually return as a ghost.

Enjoy being eternally haunted, Maxy boy.

That said: I command me to survive. Perhaps wall Max in with a cask of dwarven wine for kicks.

Nice. I was going to request a migrant, but it seem that it's too late.

Well, count me in for the next time!

From the Journal of Urist McMessengerdwarf
22nd Galena 1052

When the mountain home finaly got word of the nonsense going on at Inethuthmik, they sent me out to tell everyone there that they could return home. turns out i was too late. Everyone was dead, execpt for 2 dwarfs. we found one of them moping about by a small stone fort, that looked hastily erected. he had nothing to say to us, he seemed so depressed he didn't care about anything, even eating. the other dwarf we found in a small wooden house. when we opended the door, he charged us with a ax. sadly we had to shoot him with a crossbow, no matter what we did, he would'nt calm down.

From what we can gather, at some point the original 7 split apart from each other, and tried to make a living on their own. let this be a lesson to any dwarfs in the future, dwarfs are not meant to live by them selfs.
End of Entry

if anybody tries something like this in the future, i have a few peaces of advice.
1. each dwarf realy does need a pick and a ax, or at the very least, a ax. without a ax , you get no wood for barrels or beds. this is why max white did so well, and went insane last, because he had a bed and barrels.

2.i only found this after everything had become FUN, but the init file, these settings are important, or else dwarfs will want to put stuff in barrels that are far away

[STORE_DIST_ITEM_DECREASE:5]
[STORE_DIST_SEED_COMBINE:10]
[STORE_DIST_BUCKET_COMBINE:10]
[STORE_DIST_BARREL_COMBINE:10]
[STORE_DIST_BIN_COMBINE:10]

normaly, said values are 20, and then 1000 for all the rest of them.

I would rather be a crazy bezerker then a ghost any day.

This way I get to be both!  ;D And I shall chase doomshifter around in the after life with my axe in a blind rage.
