I'd really love to see one pack with all the animals and stuff... no more:

Oh, to be sure, others have already started on new graphics, and being the lazy man I am, I'm going to crib all of them that I can. However, that still takes time to adapt them to my format, and clean up anything I dislike about them.

So, I've done red pandas:


and that's about it, besides adapting some of NW_Kohaku's birds, but that's pretty far from finished. Updated list will be on first Post.

Nice work on the red pandas, keep them coming!  :)

By the way I was playing with the tile assembler on the pack, I noticed that you use a broken bone pic for the refuse and such, but "pond turtle shell" shows like the sun symbol used for value but in light green, and the live vermin also looks like this.


When I changed the bone pic to one of the others (with skull and ribcage) it also changed the "pond turtle shells" to the bone pic, how do you manage to change just some but not the others?


similar to changing the "n" and "v" in the text to show fine,  but keeping fine the slabs and some grass-shrubs with their nice pics.


is also possible to restore the dot "." and comma "," in the text, keeping the nice grass graphics?

And Kaos, all of those sound like Tileset problems, and I don't include a Tileset in this graphics pack. Did you get it from Phoebus's pack? Because he's the one to talk to if you did.

So, not much done these past couple days. Just some more bird integration and a critter that was on my embark:

Less then a week, actually. I want to shrink it a bit and animate it eventually, but I decided to get it out here first. It's just a blow up of the dwarven surgeon.



Finished formatting NW_Kohaku's birds, now filling in the missing bits. Here we have:
Peregrine Falcon Man, Giant Peregrine Falcon (Kohaku's looked more of a normal size to me), Kiwi, Kiwi Man, Ostrich Man, and zombies of the Peregine Falcon, Giant Kiwi and Giant/Ostrich.

So, about that ostrich... Kohaku did a beautiful job on it, but I can see it as just the right size for a real ostrich. However, I'm not sure I can make it look any bigger without making it look much worse, and I don't know if it would look right smaller. So, what do you think? Should I attempt to make it bigger or smaller?

yep, that's the one...  :P

Then I'd ask him about those problems, if you haven't already. Hopefully he'll have a better answer then me.

In other news, wild boars have been sighted, which with the recent upswing in coyote and kangaroo attacks, causes small amount of alarm.



Next on the list: Koalas.

I think the ostrich is sized just fine and looks great. And woooo boars! I've been anticipating boar art more than anything else because of my boar-taming based gimmick fort I made :V

Well, not by much, actually. I haven't done any new animals since the Kangaroos, but I have decided to release what I currently have produced. So, here you go.

I've been distracted by RL stuff for most of the silent period, and it doesn't look like things will let up too soon. But don't worry. I don't think I'll ever truly abandon this project, even if I go into extended hibernation.

Any progress, Thrin? I've been casting around for another graphics set that I like as much as Beefmo and yours' work and it's just in a league of its own!
