Dwarven colocation challenge, revisited
« on: November 08, 2007, 03:34:00 am »

Well, so much for my challenge. It didn't work... The game won't let me settle on a dwarf settlement, I guess it would cause an infinite recursion loop and create a dwarf singularity.

I'll just have to think of something else to do...

Here's your new challenge: You may neither cut wood, nor use non-economic stone for any purpose other than catapult ammunition. My suggestion is a dog farm.

You know, it took me forever to figure out how to use economic stone for construction and making blocks of. And my first ever fortress in the new version was in a place with ONLY limestone and sand.

How about a towers game?
No using any space dug out, every room must be constructed.
Optionally, set a limit to the size of each tower so you have to create lots of interconnected groups of towers.

Interconnections must be four levels up or higher  ;) and no individual tower level can be larger than 11 by 11 (shift arrow key is 11 squares).

Oh and bonus points for stone block towers.. dwarves are not shoddy builders  ;)

Reclamation next level:

1) Make a dwarven fortress on a 3x3 section of a map.  Create all artifacts that you can.  Drop all artifacts.

2) Repeat until you have dwarven fortresses on all squares of the minimap.

3) Reclaim the entire area of the minimap at once.  Reclaim all artifacts.

Not recommended for people who lack computers that come from the future.

He he he.  Yeah, it almost looks done...  alas...  those who are in your teens, hold on until your twenties...  those in your twenties, your thirties...  others, cling to life as you are able...<P>It should be pretty fun though.

i dont think reclaim works that way.  i think you have to reclaim the original fort site and size.
