Spoiler (click to show/hide)

That's right. It's from unreleased Fallout Tactics 2, and it's a bigger deathclaw cousin, mutated from an alligator. It comes in in the next version :P.

And I was just about to continue playing version 0.1, lol.

EDIT: Considering most of the new content has in fact been added to your previous mods, you may as well release version 0.3.

Version 0.1 had duplication of chief medical dwarf (two appeared in the noble list).

Mutants dominated in version 0.1, but that is actually accurate without the Brotherhood of Steel.

Looking at the raws, the following come to light:
Vault Dwellers still have no chainsaws, and thus have no "official" way of cutting down trees (I define using training weapons, such as the wooden training chainsaw, to cut down trees as a bug and thus unofficial).

Only one caste of Mutants, but there should be at least two, possibly more.

We need other factions, like the Brotherhood of Steel.

Vault dwellers actually seem to be working fine, as they tend to only have one settlement.  Although dwarfs in the new version simply seem to act like that.

Personally, I'd like to see the Caste system used for the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel (ala Fallout Tactics), and have a civilization of humans, ghouls, mutants, and robots.

Heavy weapons would be great.

Kobolds should be replaced with something else.  Subterrenean races can be replaced with the races from Doom.

Kobolds won't be there, sure :). Raiders should be.

Vault dwellers have rippers instead of chainsaws.

Actually current mutants are placeholders. I have a creature with different bodies (3 arms, 2 heads, tails etc.) as castes but I have some troubles with placing additional tissues (actually no troubles, I just need more time).

I have yet to download and try it yet but I definately will be since I played the Fallout mod for 40d.
For a custom workshop do you think it would be possible to make something along the lines of chem producing workshop that would take in different ingrediants to produce stuff like jet or nuka-cola or would that be impossible to make due to limitations?

There's plenty of trees in fallout universe :). I will rework some though, to fit the biomes better.

  • Mmmm thats one of those old Dooms we had floppies sold to us for popular DOS the thinking, working, and fugly sometimes ;)

Its so damn funny... PC/DOS/Windows/MAC w/e when 2d games were being made on "computers" instead of the little stick you stroke for hours then once the good happens you get excited...looking back WTH was atari or those unmentionables thinking? Give a boy dots with text about whats happening...yup mediocre 2d dot porn with hawt princess whos shaped more like a a extravigant polygon and your just regular poly so it definently has some....fantasy there.

Yeah wastelands is Fallout but who'd complain in his mod he could call it sub title explaining the crack in Fallouts fair fear of nuclear disaster happened but if there were aliens then Dr.Who's mostly reincarnations of faggots pretending to hate so he challenges their weaknesses mostly leaving them. Fallout3 had aliens...whose to say you expand on something there make an easy template for their existence or interference maybe even fear of apes throwing poop to defend themselves but their boss doesnt pay them to like it so outposts expanding on a search grid based on good fortune youll be spotted lock'n'comoad your buttloads.

Main reason for posting such a reply is I was 4 or 5 when Doo and Duke Nukem were given to my father I played them hated controls but its what
    drove me
to being stupid for programming which only pays when you sleep with it untill the boss looks at her with satisfactory to my writing my passion all over.......yes the scripts, txts oh w/e never had prog. position had 3d designer for 3 small companies bakc when game co. were silently killing people off till peace treaties :\ EA being the one rich women on those Arcs from 2012 one bitch who suckled prestige then snipped it from its roots and killed its host with no dignity yet her own she cares for her future and immediate present so shell be one of them higher caste system legislations indefinently pushing those without billions/trillions to fix it or die. EA killed most of the previous fanbases to Westwood Studios as far to D3 thouuuughhhh............EA is giving them decades slowly rimming their precious in the rear. Online for PC gaeplay when spending 50$ leads people who do the cracking n hacking to show they like proving such anti-piracy is non-negiotiable on side wins 75% of the game A-P built into them also fooling the C&C3 was the most sudden crack but Settlers AP works it would take too much time, time which people jont wont have to give.

Doom is more drive my heritage to hell to bring you back thing which is more for adventuring.

FO3 has more integration for wasteland development or trade.

Shame cant explore {not build} others forts since they can do to the cant do'ur in there is ("Cheat(in)) Implement it if you havent already.

Pregenerated regions and random trans ferraming by aliens or army of the Ghouls trying to make interest for Earths ugly surface they cant bare looking one another im sure even if they rallied to fight fire with radiated fire the ghouls never got a mans lively hood in such times alone with possible 13-20 women they could make a sitcom.

I think mixing the two games for added content unbiased too, was one or another seems your transportation snickers with invisible glare intentioned but decide to take action so you walk.....2 miles you walk some mo......NARC get credit best if its a sting operation going smoothly, turning right into downtowns new Police HQ he drove off. I'd say he was greedy but works as the thief would but have picky suggestions in regards to the false testify.

Add 2 versions one without much smaller featured with Doom adventure.

Hello Savako.

I had some troubles understanding you because you have some really creative sentence structures. But I think you meant that you want separate versions, one with Doom content, and one with Wasteland content, right?

Some suggestions from my own embryonic plans for a firearms mod. Have separate gun barrels and stocks available to be made in the forge, and carpenter's shop for the stocks, and assembled in a custom workshop. I'd go with two or three barrel sizes and maybe a couple of sizes of stock to cover all shoulder arms, and handgun frames and barrels could be made out of a single block of metal and only need a mechanism added.
For example: one medium gun barrel, one medium stock and one metal mechanism could make hunting rifles, sub-machine guns etc. A large gun barrel and a large stock could be used with a mechanism to make assault and sniper rifles or with Electronics and Power Packs to create more exotic stuff.

Also, creating ammunition should include the need to make or import the propellant. All the necessary components for gunpowder already exist in-game, and you could use a bar of gold or silver and some sort of acidic extract to create the percussion caps if you wanted to go into that level of detail. Railgun slugs should be an exception to this, and it would also be worth keeping crossbows for hunting and marksmanship training.

Lastly, give some of your weapons bayonets so that ranged troops aren't at a disadvantage if the enemy closes to melee distance or they run out of ammunition.

Never used Dwarf Therapist, mods or tilesets in all the years I've been playing.
I think Toady's confusing interface better simulates the experience of a bunch of disorganised drunken dwarves running a fort.

I was thinking about all that you said, but I think I will make a separate "fortress" and "adventurer" mods in the end.

Because with the plans like these, your guys will be armed with rifle barrels and won't have firearms at all (I mean game-generated dwarves, like town guards and caravan guards).

Normal workshops will stay in any case :). And I believe you are talking about a "fair game". Yeah, considering the fact that DF is a sandbox, it may work.

Also sorry for the lack of updates, I am now reading a book "Metro 2033" by Dmitry Glukhovskoy, it's a post-apocalyptic story but it is opposed to Fallout in many ways. In fallout you have a huge wasteland. In Metro2033 people live in Moscow metro system, shut from the surface with anti-radiation doors. So while the space is huge (the Moscow is a big city and its metro is really huge), the people always have to deal with a closed space and lack of air/water.

By the way, they eat pigs and underground mushrooms and brew these mushrooms into a drink. Like dwarves :).

P.S. The site is in russian but you can run it through a google translator. It has some cool fan-composed music:

So yeah, I am back to modding. I will release 0,3 tonight.

Yao Guai are really strong guys >.<.

They can bite through metal armor (well, in most of the cases; breastplate usually stops their teeth but boots are easily bitten through) so you may want them in your army instead of dogs because they are trainable.

Also, inspired by the book Metro 2033 and the game with the same name (which are quite different, the book is better :P) there will be some new underground critters.
