I've tabbed out the entire main Dwarf Fortress theme, song_game.ogg, which plays during gameplay. I'm pretty confident that it's about 99.9% right, but if you find any errors feel free to point them out and I'll fix them right away. Any help will be greatly appreciated, and you will get credit!

Thanks to the TuxGuitar team for the tabbing software. A big thanks to Toady One for providing some of the tab in an old thread which I started from, and to a greater degree, him and ThreeToe for giving us Dwarf Fortress and the theme itself!

The tab for dwarf_title is also up, it's a great piece and is relatively easy to play.

Tuning: Played in E Standard tuning with a second fret capo. Can also be played in F# Standard if your strings can take it, but I don't recommend trying that.

Exporting from TuxGuitar did remove some of the extra markings. The tab may be confusing without them, so I recommend using the Guitar Pro version. I use TuxGuitar to do so, it's free and works on Mac and Windows as well as Linux.

I also noticed the text tab doesn't look right in Internet Explorer. All blank lines appear to have been removed. Use TuxGuitar or download the TXT if this happens to you.

Instructions for other (Piano, trombone, whatever) instruments:

Open the Guitar Pro file in TuxGuitar.
Click on the "Instrument" at the bottom, and use that menu to transcribe the tab as needed.
Go to Print.
Uncheck everything except "Show Score" and maybe "Black and White Mode".

Hehe, sure thing. You can have it on any instrument; Open the Guitar Pro file in TuxGuitar, click on the instrument type at the bottom, (It's at Nylon Str Guitar currently) transpose as needed, then print the score out. Let me know how it goes if you really want to attempt it.

Wow I like that version. MIDI music is so good at sounding like old video game music. I feel a deeper appreciation of the music in the game after hearing it switched to another medium.
