I am a Scientist: I get Civ. Weapons Proficiency, +2 Int, and +2 Psy.
I put 2 points in Heal, 2 in Chemistry, 2 in Notice, 1 in Appraise, and 1 in Robot Knowledge.
I spend 50 xp on Civ Armor and 75 on Knowledgeable: Robotics.

You start with 150 xp IIRC. You spent 125 on traits, then 40 on skills.
That is 165.

I used my 8 free Skill Points in skills, not XP points. "New Characters are given 8 skill points to distribute amongst their skills as they see fit".
But, we can get more skill for 5 xp each? Does that mean I can add even moar skills? Great - I really wanted to get some other ones like Biology!

This is my class ability:

When this ability is used, the scientist may give a +2 bonus to any stat to up to three characters. This bonus lasts for the duration of combat or for 30 minutes (in game) and may be used once per encounter.
I don't understand what you mean. I can't use it until we're actually playing the game. Or do you mean I should level it? That's 600 xp, far beyond what I can afford.

I put my extra skill points in: 1 Appraise, 2 Knowledge (Current Events), 2 Knowledge (Biology).

What do you mean? The xp total? Yep, it's definitely right.

Adding skills for 5 xp each? Never heard of it. I assumed it was a house rule.
