We know this... someone's possessing the robots, and maybe the ship too.
But who, who? Archangel, Virex, do you have any ideas?
Possibly the Enforcer we met upstairs. My money's on him.
Probably not Grayson, because I think he's in the room right now? In any case, he was present when the crazy started, so he likely didn't activate it.
Who else have we met? The bad dude is unconscious...
The C.A.B.? I can't find a motive. However, the bad dude - let's call him Frank - wants us dead. So does the CAB, then. And so, the CAB would have reason to send robots to kill us, and to try and sabotage the ship. The CAB is likely working through the Enforcer.... Aha! I think I have it.


Org, can you answer the following question, or do you have to keep it a secret?
Is the CAB Enforcer that we met upstairs controlling the robots and/or because he wants us to die because Frank, the unconscious man, failed to kill us? Furthermore, is this because the CAB doesn't want information to escape about how they tried to kidnap someone?

I gave a small, maybe at the time so insignificant of a hint it seemed as it wasn't a hint at all to what has happened.

well here's what we got:

-Grayson tried hitting Wadsworth with an inductor. He also tried to warn us that something was controlling them. This probably means he's not in this.

-The CAB officer we met first was talking to someone we don't know, either directly or over a remote connection.

-The guy we knocked out in the cargo room seems to be a CAB officer. This means we're probably on the CAB "to kill" list, but considering the situation we were on that list before the mission started

-This doesn't realy sound like CAB work to me. They'd just storm in, arrest everyone one and ask questions later. Killing everyone's too messy for them. Plus, Grayson acted as if he was resisting mind controll or something.

This probably means that the guy we met first was in on the drug dealings and we know too much. I have a sneeky suspicion someone's running a drug kartel from this damned planet and doesn't want anyone to find out.

Wait, what? You have no experience with the CAB at all, none of us do. The CAB didn't actually exist until this game; how would we know their modus operandi?

Anyway, yeah. "one of the Board is in on the gang" - someone's got a drug cartel, like you  said, and the CAB is skimming some off the top. They don't want anyone to know, and want to keep their profits, so presumably they sent guys to take us down.

Grayson could be in on it, too. He mentioned doing some illegal things, and that he didn't like snoopers. But if so, why would he want to help us?
Hmmm, maybe the CAB wanted to destroy the ship at all costs, so they can keep siphoning cash from the gang. But, of course, Grayson doesn't want to die.

Simple, they're an orginisation roughly equall to the modern police, with a liiitle more freedom to do as they please. I expect them to just arrest us and toss us in jail for speeding or something. No need to put people at stake in a firefight when a peacefull "solution" exists.

They smuggle drugs, dude, no reason to think they're still that official. Jailing someone is difficult, just gunning them down is easier.
