Phantom spider silk web?

Is this new to version E?  I was checking out haunted areas attempting to find one with zombies, though while I have yet to see a single zombie (possible bug?) I happened to come across phantom spider silk webs laying on the ground in one.  Any one else come across the stuff, and know more about it?

I've seen them in a haunted forest my adventurer walked through, trying to pick a fight with something. The webs were everywhere; if it had been a fortress, my stonecrafter would have been traded for a clothier.

It appears in evil areas that are temperate or warmer. It's an exelent supply of early clothes and crafts(worth 5 times regular silk iirc) and as long as you don't kill the phantom spiders(stealthed, hence the name) it keeps refreshing. Thanks to the Horned Ones(unicorns), evil areas are a better place to settle then good ones.
