Pinch self. Make sure we're not dreaming.

If we don't wake up, talk to janitor. Our door wasn't locked, so we should be allowed to do this.

Daisy pinches herself. It hurts a bit, and to top that off she catches a glimpse of her hand, which is just as bony and angular as ever.

She heads down the hallway towards the Janitor. She realizes she never asked him his name, despite the fact she had met him many times before.

She reaches his shadowed form. She can't make out any features. He just keeps humming and mopping. Odd, he usually greets her before she walks up...

Freak the heck out. In a running-away fashion.

WAIT! Ask the janitor if you can do anything to help him, while standing from a distance where you could dash if need be, since it looks like he may be possessed by some evil force or something, BUT listen for any movement around; a dark hallway is a likely spot for an ambush!

She just got surprised by an oddly-behaving demon, when she expected a janitorial acquaintance, in a dark hallway. She's not stopping to talk to it, or worrying about ambushes. She's freaking the heck out.

...I saw it before...but I guess I should have worded my previous statement better.
The answer you are looking for is...
Save him.
