...but he's able to interrupt all of my dwarves!  Gah!  If only crossbows worked!  I can't build a ramp, because he interrupts construction.  Is there any way to disable civilian fear so my guys can construct close enough for my soldiers to actually get to that pesky gobbo?

Try getting at him from a z-level above him or digging toward him from the z-level he's on. Remember that channeling now creates a ramp between the z-levels so you might be able to make a ramp to the goblin from the z-level above him if there's another layer above him. Unless he's just floating in mid-air?

Just mod out the eyes in their raws, easy as that.

I think marksdwarves can shoot upwards. If they can, you now have a workaround for the marksdwarf training bug.
