You open the door and walk outside. The sun shines brightly down on the cracked pavement. A mail truck roars by, trailing letters that blow away into the wind. Houses stretch seemingly endlessly on either side, echoing with suburban life.

You're at your neighbor's house. As with all the other houses on the block, the yard is meticulously green and evenly cut. You have no idea how they do it. You guess you just don't have the knack for gardening.

People walk back and forth aimlessly in front of the shops, which are loaded with signs and flashing lights. The sidewalk is dirty and littered. Cars race back and forth, and the air quality is very poor. The bank towers to the left, an intimidating skyscraper of bureaucracy. On the right, a small, unassuming coffee shop sits.
Obvious exits: north, south, bank, coffee shop.

Coffee Shop
The smell of fresh brews is in the air. Calm jazzy music wafts around the room. There is a counter upon which some food and cups and a few drink dispensers sit, and behind which a cashier stands. There are several tables scattered around. At them sits several savvy-looking individuals, wearing striped sweater, dark sunglasses, and berets. The slightly dimmed light emits from several hanging lamps, and the walls are smooth and patterned brown. You feel your stress melt away.

[You feel less depressed. ]
