I think there's a pretty small selection of images in the rotation.  The crux of the joke is that there's so many pictures of Jon either standing around looking depressed or saying something foolish.  It does pull off some really good ones though.

I don't think the random statements about depression after the comics are necessary. There are a lot of funny results without them.

Yeah, I only plugged 40 something strips into that when i let it loose to public. I would like to do more, but I need some time to cut em to pieces.

Yeah, these are great.

The weird thing is, if randomness gets such funny comics, why bother making them yourself at all? Why not just randomize and publish those?
