The REALLY dumb ideas thread.

For ideas that would be awesome to make, but not to use.

I would like to think that all modders sometimes have ideas that are just too epic to ever be in DF, because in truth they are just dumb, so we never go to the trouble. But rejoice brothers, we hear your pain! So I figure we need a thread for dumb little mods that don't fit into anything, can't really be used for anything, break the 4th wall COMPLETELY or are fan art of vidjeo games.

So have some fun with making happy jumping mail boxes and the 69,105 christmas tree monsters and post them here. Who knows, if we get enough together we could pull it together into a major mod that would be a HORRIBLY unbalanced and all around enjoyed for the novelty of it.

BUT I must ask for sanity please. I know a lot all of us here are geeks, but please refrain from posting badass villans from over rated fantasy games.

I shall start the ball rolling.

I haven't updated this for 0.31 yet, but it is silly. Well, it's not so silly as to absolutely break everything, but it's certainly not something you'd want to walk into in a dark alley.

Well outside the realm of creatures, I would like to see hmmm, what do i compare it to... I guess I could say  floating islands in the air? With unlimited sources of water and they move around on their own...

Oh! A lot of the stuff from Avatar. It was cool!

That or special abilities like from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

You do know that the MAX is not required (No, I don't mean me! I mean after the number arguments), there just comments to give people a general idea of how it works.

No, you cannot have over 9000.

Even for the sake of overpoweredness, I cannot condone Sephiroth having maxed out Empathy, Social Awareness, and Patience.  I can see some level of patience, but not max.  But Empathy and Social Awareness? No.

Also, can a creature have multiple pref strings?   Because I think Sephiroth deserves a few more.

That didnt work the way I hoped, it just set a whole lot of stuff on fire.

What I was trying to do was find some way to make the material kill a dwarf without setting him on fire (poisons are unreliable). That certainly didnt work; I think the game just removed the minus and made me set the whole thing on fire again.

Killed my whole test-reclaim-force of 28 in one reaction though.

Yeah, -50,000 seems excessive.  Given that according to the wiki, Absolute Zero is 9508, I'd suggest not going below 9506.  If DF pays any attention to Absolute Zero (which means the objects has absolutely no thermal energy), it would probably get very cranky at below-Absolute Zero temperatures.

I made one (altough I did give it a glaring weakness (a controlling crystal in his head. If shattered, the colossus die)).

I gave it wings once, but I think it was not enough since it never took flight. Was something else needed?
