Urist McTrainer cancels Tame War Animal: Strange Mood.
Urist McTrainer has been stricken with wanderlust!

(Urist runs off and leaves the fort.  A year or more later, they return, with the following message.)

Urist McTrainer has tamed the wild Cheetahs of the Dune of Gates!

They re-enter the fort with 3-5 animals of the specified type, split between males and females.  They can now train this animal regardless of the presence of a dungeon master.

Urist McPeasant cancels Store Item In Bin: Strange Mood.
Urist McPeasant has become an Adventurer!
(Urist grabs an axe, shield, backpack, three rations, and runs off and may or may not return years later, pack laden with coins from far-off lands and trinkets picked up on his journey, missing an ear, and carrying 9 severed wolf heads for no apparent reason.)
[EDIT] And also having become a legendary thrower.

Both ideas are amazing. Anyway, this topic should go in "DF Suggestions" not the Discussion.

So we got monsters above, monsters below, dwarves in the middle and a party in the dining hall. Sounds good to me.
If all else fails, remember one thing:  kittens are delicious, nutritious little goblin-baiters, cavern explorers, and ambush-finders.

If Urist McPeasant became a legendary thrower, then I think it's obvious the wolf heads are ammo :-p

Hunter mood. He/she pauses, perks their ears at some far away noise and wanders off from the map. If they return, it is while hauling the corpse of a nearby named animal. Hurm. Fey Hunter mood. "I MUST KILL ALESINGES!"

Also, I would like to see if at some point, kids that are born to dwarves, either off-site or within the fort, if they go in a mood they could go and claim a workshop that their mother or father works at. If they aren't of the current "specialist" mood groups, then it's off to the craftshop to make those bone toy axes and whatever.

Maybe even go as far that at times, if there's a repeated order for producing something, and the eligible workers have children, their kids might wander in and make the product themselves. Probably slower, and they might run off if an adult wanders by too close. Or maybe chases them out if they're supposed to work there.

Now back to moods.

Engraver snaps, produces fractal engraving. No one must ever touch it, or they might be driven into insanity themselves. And not the kind of insanity that's nice and harmless and produces legendary goods.

Trapper grabs a cage and either wanders off-site or disappears into the caverns below. Upon returning, they've caught a beast of myth. No semimega- or megabeasts, just something like an yeti, sasquatch, maybe an ent.

True, but at a certain velocity the resulting explosion expels invader-bits at fatal speeds. You don't want to be dropping trogdolyte-shaped shrapnel bombs into your boneworks.

Nah. The fish cleaner snaps, walks to a pond and guts a carp with his bare hands.
He returns to his people not as a dwarf, but as a reborn god.

Urist McMiner cancels Dig: Ore senses tingling.
Urist McMiner smells ore nearby!

Urist McMiner would then immediately dig to the nearest undiscovered ore deposit (no designations given, so you can't see where he's digging) and mine out the whole thing, getting triple experience for every tile mined. Of course, if this happens to be a *spoiler* tube, either wall him in or prepare for Fun.

Not really in the vein of a traditional mood, but what about moods of criminality? Not like just throwing a tantrum and all but like, a dwarf actually going temporarily insane to do a crime.

The crime can be as simple as theft or as complicated as dressing up in a clown suit and abducting every male child in the fort, cutting off their penises, peeling the foreskins off and wearing them like finger puppets and secluding oneself in a workshop where one just sits there making little plays with the finger puppets. The fortress guard would then find him and take him into custody.

The first time I had a fell mood it was fucking incredible. I had somehow never actually read about it so I was absolutely shocked when I saw one of my dwarves murder another one and make something out of him.

I'm curious what the barely conscious ai wrote about.
Well that went better than expected.  He went nuts and punched a rabbit to death, then the dogs and the whole dining hall ripped him to shreds.

What about a mood where a non-married female gives birth to a noble or deity?

I am now imagining mods which not only include dicks, but also foreskins, so that I can go into adventure mode as a Abrahamic extremist on a quest to convert all elves to Judaism/Islam....

Jealousy as a mood. Or a mini-mood. Urist McWealthy just bought a gold goblet encrusted with seven different gems, none of them glass. And to him that money was just a little bit he had put on the side! Zagrib McAverage is enraged. Something has to be done to alleviate this.

Zagrib does one of the following:
A) Wait until Urist leaves his room, grab the goblet and toss it into magma.
B) Instead of something petty as theft and destruction of personal property, wait until Urist stops paying attention and toss his kid into magma.

Religious fanatic mood might include kidnapping kids or objects from people they don't like and sacrificing them to their god, assuming their god appreciates sacrificing.

Liar mini-mood could finally have something done with it. Good liars who have grudges could use their skill to lie about the dwarves they dislike, and it would make dwarves friends to the grudged dwarf start distancing themselves, from Friend to Long-Term Acquaintance and lower to even form a grudge on them.
"Tun McLiar has been ecstatic recently. He ruined a life recently."

It's only a matter of time until dwarves with anger problems get the option to commit violence upon their family that might not get reported at all if no one sees it, or if the family members don't dare report him/her.

Also, Noble mood. Their demanded items must be provided or each month that the people fail to do so, someone is going to get punished.
