Unfortunately my current occupation is working nights at a supermarket, it sucks but I do get four day weekends. As for the future I really don't know, I stalled in college and don't know where to go from here. I would have gone into programming but the jump from GCSE to A-Level mathematics was too large and so I didn't get the required grades. A friend and I have recently considered setting up business as we have an almost constant stream of people asking us to build them gaming PCs with potential for a reasonable profit even when undercutting all the local shops.

I'm less a programmer and more of a systems engineer. I look at larger systems and I break them down into composite parts for programmers (defined as "replaceable assets you hire from third-world countries and throw in the nearest dumpster when done") to build, then verify that the parts are good and capable of being integrated.

I also work in politics. I work to get slightly less bad people into power and remove the slightly worse people.

Meh.

So, I'm not the only one participating politics here! I'm on a regional level myself, what about you?

By the way, the business idea sounds promising.

Here at least those are separate specialities. There's thoracic surgery, and CV separate from it. (And vascular surgery separate from those two)

I'm currently majoring in Drama in university, thinking to go into the playwright and design stream. It's uncertain right now, though, as I may decide I want to go to the Ph. D level, or get an education degree, etc. etc. I checked 'Actor', since it was the closest one, and I act from time to time.

I was looking on Jobbank.ca last night, though, and regional police make over 75k a year, and now I'm wondering why I didn't take criminology instead. Seriously, my best bet of making that kind of cash is to get an education degree and teach in the Yukon.

It's not like you need to take criminology to be a policeman.

You need some sort of vocational training to apply, at least in Canada. I imagine criminology would do. I wouldn't trade in the great education experience I get from university for the world, though (lots of people disagree with me on this, but I guess they just took a major that didn't interest them or something. Or I like learning more.).

My theory is that if I was a detective I would make even more than a beat cop, so a criminology degree might be an in.

I'm still shocked they make that much. This isn't even RCMP, just regional police.
