Yo know what? Dwarf me. I'll take Demonic Spoon's latest child. If they're all claimed, I'll take his next one.

Sure thing. By your name I suppose?

I had a recurrence of the deadly blood situation. One of the children got some on him, and immediately lost consciousness. Plus now he has mysterious yellow wounds on him. Could be necrosis, could be from one of the many, many fistfights going on in the refugee camp.
I'll take pictures if limbs stars falling off.

Aaah, turns out the water source zone had the beast's blood in it from dwarves and animals cleaning themselves.

Yes, by my name.

Deadly blood is fun and YOU WILL NOT ESCAPE IT. Check the kid's status. If it says a part is rotten, it's either the blood or a helmet snake, and you don't have any of those in Splinterville, do you?

Also, fun fact: according to the wiki (I haven't checked the raws yet), giant cave spider venom now causes suffocation after a while. That's assuming that the spider doesn't kill your dwarf first.

Nope. Looks like it was just a random bruise. They're mostly gone now anyway.
And the GSC was a false alarm I suppose. I've seen a few patches of GCS webs, but not the big lubber's themselves. I guess it just gets generated along with the cave or something?
And things seem to have calmed down some in the refugee camp. Can't tell for sure until the currently melancholy/babbling dwarves are gone, but looks like there will be survivors.

Imiknorris: You got the youngest son of Urist McUrist and Placeholder. He's a year old at the moment.

EDIT: Had another fey mood from the refugees. A gem cutter I guess. Grabbed one rough cat's eye and began working. The good thing is, it reset the guys overall mood.

EDIT 2: A door. He took a rough gem the size of a man's fist, and made a door out of it. I've stopped being surprised by this crap.

EDIT 3: Currently there are 22 dwarves on site. 15 in the fortress proper (10 adults and five kids), 5 refugees (out of the original 20), and two morons milling about on the surface.

Ok, I'd turned away from DF for a second, leaving it running (what could go wrong?).
When I came back, I was met with the strangest of sights.

There's a skeletal giant mole sitting in the refugee camp, drinking their booze. I cannot fathom why a skeleton would want to drink, but he's doing it. I gotta take care of this before he bleeds the refugees dry.

You seem to have not read about Dwarven Physics :P

Also, can I see my dwarf description&preferences stuff? Is he related to someone or just random guy with some/few/no friends?

Ok, moving on to plan C. Let the mole have his drink.

And here's one for Haspen:

dwarfguy2: Yeah, you're the migrant bone doctor I brought in to, well, bone the ladies. He recently married Joshua. No children yet but it hasn't been long enough anyway. Oh yeah and you and Haspen have a grudge. I like to think you were competing for Joshua's affections, and you won.

Haspen: Well, maybe he'll marry one of the kids :D

Also, looks like the refugees are finally beaten. The damn skeletal giant mole keeps biting off their hands.

eh, my dwarf doesn't care if the mole tears him into individual parts and pees on him. i'll just possess another of these unwilling bodies and continue my mission of becoming evil overlord of all dwarves, then destroying the planet and becoming the most feared power in the universe.

Oh Chaos is entirely safe in the actual fortress. This is the refugees a few levels above being torn to bits.

Incidentally, there's now only one survivor of the refugee group.
Oglokoog's one-year-old son.
He was knocked out from the demon-blood that spilled around the camp, and he's now managed to get away from the camp to the leper colony further away. Damn I wish I had an actual food stockpile there. I'm going to see how long I can get him to live.

If you have any suggestions, shoot. The leper colony currently has only one plump helmet spawn, and a little farm patch with some withered plants. There's a little bit of food in the actual camp, but I lost sight of the mole. I think it may be hiding somewhere.
