Ye don't need to catch them, they be vermin.

Can't you catch them with animal traps?

And, the layout of the fort was very confusing. Can you go through and place 'N'otes all over the place describing what is what?
And, I am pretty sure you can mod them to be breedable. Maybe there is a tag we can remove...

Like I said, we don't need to. They're vermin and therefore can't breed, they web just fine in the wild, and trapping vermin is nowhere near as reliable as trapping creatures. Plus I'm not sure if the modifications Toady made to the "vermin are a dwarven delicacy" code extend to web-producing vermin.

I would have wanted to trap them to throw them underground in a cat-safe place.
Cat's love eating vermin.

And, werewolf free.

Apparently you don't know about verminportation.

And if we were going to throw them underground, why not use the cave spiders in the caverns?

I thought he fixed that...

Why no cave spiders? Well...I kind of have this thing where I don't set foot on the cavern floors until I get a good sized army...

I was talking about the phantom spiders. I didn't even notice the dragon question. Yes, we can add child tags to the noble dragon.

Yes, I know you were talking about dragon breeding.

Which room is that?
Not of them seemed built for that purpose...

And one last thing. May I compress the fort's save using 7z whenever I upload it?

I use 7z for everything anyway so I dont see any reason not to,  If no one responds in 10 minutes as to wether anyone wants to take the save or not, i'll take it for a few hours till a friend shows up..

I'm busy until this afternoon.

Thanks!

I have about 200 stray animals on my current fort. No lag whatsoever.
Then again, I'm running DF in wine, under Linux...

And with that, I wish you luck.

^^ Just loading it up now,  Might I suggest a different place for file hosting? It took me like 10 minutes to download when usually files of that size take about 2-3.

Loading up the save, the entrances are getting really flushes out now.  Walls are going up and stuff is getting done!!!  I'll start by installing the pet playground.

(Btw,  Thats not only to reduce lag, dont want your valuable food source getting adopted,  Cant really kill it after it is sadly!)

I've noted that we've not put the magma to use,  I'm starting a stairwell down to the pool and am going to wall/floor it off and move most of our workshops down there.  Seem's only the dwarven thing to do.

I've noticed no ones been assigned to rooms... So I'll fix that soon.

Media fire kept crashing my browser, so I decided to use dffd.

hehehe.
Good point about adoption.

I never have been good with magma. I always somehow rendered my forts unplayable using that stuff.
And, I always have a dedicated workshop layer. that is near stockpiles.
I was planning to move workshops one level below the current spot. Why? I wanted to place the stockpiles int he soil - no rock to clutter them.
Seems efficient to me...

I should have noticed that...
