ACT 2: Hour of Wrath.

-

Leave it to the demon lord Abaddon to jump the gun on the rapture 1000 years too early..
In his haste to end all life on earth, he sent a squad of 12 elite demons to the surface, but without any aid from the rest of hell, they all passed away within hours of arrival due to various complications (not being able to breath air, etc etc). Well, they all passed away but one. You. Visualization of character here

You are Emett Duskwhisper, Harbringer of Mortal Destruction. Or at least, you were. (oh man, so many twists!) Due to the lack of demonic miasma on the Earth, you have been stripped of nearly all your power. As far as anyone can tell, you're just a slightly sunburnt human female of about 24 years of age with two lumps on her forehead. Yes, your skin has almost completely palified into a slightly reddish-pink, and your massive curved horns have retracted into slight bumps over your temples. Your tail has completely retracted. The only demonic thing about you is your mind, and the tiniest fraction of your original ability: The ability to manipulate blood, bone and spirit. powers explained here

Luckily, you can remember your training from your time in Hell. This means you learn incredibly fast, understand all languages (and translate them into english in your head. Lucky you!), and know the secrets to corrupting humans. You also remember that every soul you corrupt releases a small amount of miasma, yum yum. The more souls you corrupt, the stronger you will become.

Unfortunately for you, you find yourself in the middle of an unknown mountain range, at the base of one of the jagged rock skyscrapers. Your only possession is a tattered flowing red combat robe (or: dress). It's time to get to work in the glorious name of Lord Abaddon and all of Hell.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

Need to catch up? SURE YOU DO. All posts from Part I of this titilating adventure HERE!! Thank you Cheddarius!

You look for a suitable rock pillar to make into a lair. You spot a particularly smooth pillar of stone, and move towards it. You pull your arm back, focus all your demonic power into reinforcing the bones in your right hand and smash your fist into the rock. The bones in your hand fracture and you reel back in pain. Perhaps you should wait until you have more power than that of a slightly fit college girl before you go shattering boulders.

Lol, from what? Teleporting inside rock?

Anyways, search the remains of the other dead demons, see what you can recover and use.

Perhaps some demons were not able to breath the gas that mortals do. Like a demon may have only been able to breath Xenon.

Find various mountain life. Control spirit, bones and blood.

Like what? Manipulating the flesh and bone of the other demons to make a demonic horse or other suitable mount?

Which actually... sounds like a very cool idea.

Try manipulating the flesh, bone, and blood of the other demons to make a demonic horse or something.

Precisely this. Luckily, Emett was lucky enough to quickly adapt to breathing Earth’s atmosphere.

> remember what is within our power right now

You realize you have next to no power at all. What you could do to blood, bones and spirit (btw, spirit manifests itself in a sort of “malleable electricity/life force” thing) is so insignificant you might as well be human.

>Find various mountain life. Control spirit, bones and blood.

You hike down the slope of the mountain, all you see are various high-altitude shrubs and some insects scuttling about.  You don’t have enough power to control those things right now.

>Anyways, search the remains of the other dead demons, see what you can recover and use.

The other demons are nowhere in sight. You remember that when demons mortal coils die, their remains and all their possessions turn into ash.

Can we not contact our master? If not, I guess we should try to collect the ashes. Who knows, Demon Ashes might be useful in some obscure way.

Hey wait.
Scratch my original idea.
Find various mountain life.
(In case of Herbivores...) Manipulate blood, and bones into a horrific humanoid shape, make spirit particularly unfearing of humans and homicidal.
(In case of non-dog Carnivores) Same as above.
(In case of dogs...) Manipulate spirit, bones and blood into something malevolent. Result should be this.

Okay fine.

How about setting and healing that broken hand with your mind?

Also, being a demon, I assume she doesn't need to sleep, eat, or drink? So, maybe hike to the top of the mountain, see whats around you.

Well, I thought over manipulating...
Please elaborate more deeply on this.

Please elaborate more deeply on this.

Right now, you can’t manipulate anything with your power. Nada. Ziltch. Not even worth trying at this point. When you can, you will be able to manipulate blood, bone and spirit energy (sort of like the physical form of the electricity in a body)

When you will have that ability you can do a few things: with blood, you can boil or freeze yours or others, or turn blood into a physical tool. I.e. cut open your wrists/sacrifice someone and turn their blood into a noose to strangle someone from a distance. You have to have contact on the blood to control it, though.

Bone: you can make yours more or less dense, or have it jut from various parts of your body to use as blades or whips or etc.

Spirit: Whenever someone dies near you, you can take their energy as it leaves their body and turn it into an electric weapon. This can be used in various ways, but it has a limited supply. When you are strong enough, your physical touch will allow you to rip the spirit from a foe and have them die instantly.

>Can we not contact our master? If not, I guess we should try to collect the ashes. Who knows, Demon Ashes might be useful in some obscure way.

You have no means of contact at this juncture, and like I said, there is no trace of the other demons anywhere. They either arrived on other sides of the globe, or their ashes have simply been scattered by the wind.

> How about setting and healing that broken hand with your mind?

You focus all your demonic energies on your fractured and throbbing hand, but the best you can do with your meager strength is set the bones, not heal them.

>Also, being a demon, I assume she doesn't need to sleep, eat, or drink?

This is correct.

>So, maybe hike to the top of the mountain, see whats around you.

You climb to the peak of the mountain over the course of several hours. From it, you can see nothing but forest below and more mountains on the horizon. You can see a pass to the east. Using your heightened vision, you can tell there may be a road running through, but you’re not positive.

Go in search for dead animal or wounded animal.
I have literally no idea what to do with it. Use the mortal means of setting it on fire?
Uh, find group of mountain folk and talk to them from an unseen location?

What he said.

Given that there is a forest and she has heightened senses, maybe she can sniff out a wolf or cougar kill and do something with it.

Since we are basically as mortal as a human, I would seriously advise against a confrontation with wildlife.

Edit: @Phantom: You know, this is sounding alot like a play now adventurer :)
