Should excavated soil be hauled to a spoil heap ?

How 'bout compacting it after digging it out, kinda like a smooth tool for soil.

I agree that soil should have to be hauled(somewhat less produced than rock).  And as mentioned there are many good uses for it.

jellyman:
We already have buckets and bags that could hold soil.If a dwarf can carry all the rock from one mined cube in one go with bare hands, I think he should be able to carry all the soil from one mined cube in one go with a bucket or bag.
