Training dwarves in DF2010
« on: May 22, 2010, 02:01:04 am »

I don't see the attributes like "strong" or "agile" in DF2010. Is it still worth cross-training dwarves, like haulers to operate pumps?

Attributes like that are gone, gone, gone.  So, only useful in the sense that it's useful for your haulers to have skills, in case your skill dwarfs have too much fun.

Yep,
at the moment the only training that seems to increase attributes seems to be military training.
Normal jobs donīt seem to have any effect on attributes (meaning that the will get worse over time due to "rust").

But Iīm sure that this is just bugged behavior and will get fixed by toady

There are now 19 attributes, split between physical and mental. All attributes (unless modded in raws) decay over time as currently, no civilian job exercises them. Physical attributes can be trained by military training, but not enough it seems.

Congrats, Psieye. This is the first time I've seen a derailed thread get put back on the rails.
