Where does this fall in relation to Toady's recent announcement condemning attempts to hijack/pervert his DF ideas?

This isn't going to end up being a clone, is it?

I doubt anyone will stop playing dwarf fortress or donating in favour of dwarfed as it'll be the same crowd playing both. Toady has also pretty much ruled out multiplayer so dwarfed won't undercut him that way either.

We have semi has magam i just havent implemented it in the Dwarfed source due to it missing a few things
such as FLOW it just spreads in some random manner now,

Sounds problematic, but at least it is not spreading out like a big blob, eating the landscape.

Magma turns other stuff into magma!? DWARFED BLOB!


We definately need that as an option for magma. Admin round or some kind of option, I think it be cool to have. Water kills it. Or something like that. Maybe some kind of HFS, or something. Obviously im not definate on my idea.

Well I suppose it could be a mechanic for recieving immigrants.
(Or escaping the fortress during traitor rounds, hide in a empty barrel and be loaded on the cart as export goods)

Noodles are cool. Also I have a working pathfinding for monsters in case you're interested. I have giant rats and zombies follow you and attack you at a desired distance.
