Act as if you didn't hear it yourself and give no indication it came from you. You are smart enoguth to realize this action has much larger good consequences than saving directly and personally, as it will inspire pepale to be evryday heroes even when you're not around.
Upon hearing the plea for help you begin putting pictures in people's heads of saving the distressed damsel and the gory fate they will recieve if they don't. Several people run towards the scream, straight into oncoming traffic.

Hehe, this is hilarious, loving it. Crank it up a notch and put cthulu horrors level of disturbing pictures in his mind.

Put in people's mind pictures of every human race singing and dancing happily ever after, to stop racism.

Also, why not speed and intelligence? Think of Adrian Veidt, from the Watchmen?

Implant pictures of mathmatic equations that are too complicated for the mugger to handle. Then run up and punch him in the jaw.

We aren't much of any super "hero" at the moment..
We are not even villains.. I'm not sure what we are at this rate.

You put Pi^87*Pi in his head, you can see his head is about to pop. You then try and quicken the process by punching him in the jaw, but it just puts him in pain.
