Infections and melting.
« on: June 03, 2010, 02:50:36 am »

Okay, found out the infection in my left toe is a ticking bomb.

I will try to melt the toe to see if it helps.

Is it normal that the blood of humans in dark fortresses cause your body parts to start melting?
(guess it is a bug, all the humans had this feature in the fort, but when i left and later arrived, they where normal.)

It was not the blood, it was the temperature of blood caused by an extremely hot biome. The rain does the same. If it's too hot it melts you.

No. I've got my whole party melted under the rain in 0.31.04 in my wasteland mod.

0.31.04 fixes the day/night temperature changes, but the bug still exists in hot biomes.

Anyone knows anything about burning off infections?
i have been using burning bushes, but most of the time i survive and suffer only minor melting, or die trying.
Retired and is building a fort with a lever/plate powered magma pump on the surface so that i can wash my feet in it.

You could try retiring him into a town, and then re-loading him...
