A few of us in the Relicnews community think that if there's to be a device for moving magma along the z axis (suppose that it has to be drawn from the depths) it should definitely be called a Magmalator.

The alternative is to finally have a use for stone mugs, but with hilarious consequences:

Iden Torsig cancels transport magma (cleaning magma)
Iden Torsig cancels clean magma (on fire)
Kol Sedilònul cancels clean magma (on fire)
Olon Erethseneb cancels clean magma (on fire)
Kogan Keskalolin cancels clean magma (on fire)...

The Archimedes' screw will be used to transferring liquids on the Z axis, to my knowledge.
