One thing you may want to mention somewhere. In stonesense, I put in a thing that hides stuff that's behind other stuff, so it's way fast, but it's not perfect, so it hides more than it should. To get around this, press 'O' when in stonesense, and everything will be slower, but you will see everything.

Thanks for the tip! I added some notes above the download, but MAN there's almost no place for anything in the OP! How do I cram so much stuff in and still keep it organized?!

Try generating a Lazy Newb World (under "Generate with Advanced Parameters) and you will get loads of volcanoes.

If you want that magma in your CURRENT fort, you can (legitamately) build 20-level pump stack (refer to the wiki on help with this) to get the magma higher.
If you want to cheat with DFHack, you can use the "liquids" command, which lets you spawn water/magma in any tile you want. Just type "liquids" in the DFHack console, and then "?" to get help on how to use it.

The only problem will be that you still wouldn't be able to place magma forges/smelters, you would have you legitly discover it first.
