PerfectWorldDF is up to version 1.6 now. I think I mentioned that in this thread, must have been lost in the shuffle.
Yeah I knew there was probably something I forgot. Along with DF Foreman too! Perhaps I'll do a v9.4

is it me or does the Phoebus pack in lazynewbpack look different to whats advertised on the Phoebus thread :S

also awesome tool! i wouldnt have got into DF without it :)

Phoebus has been made a lot more customizable. The pack actually comes with a customizer and quite a few options. You can actually find it in the LNP, but its sort of hidden. Just go to "LNP\Graphics\Phoebus" and open "DwarfFortressConfig.exe". This will let you change a few things about the tileset, which will apply to you game if you re-install the graphics through the LNP GUI.

Alright...
Updating this with some features/fixes.

Currently:
 - removed misleading "economy"
 - added initial mod loading capability
 - what else did i forget?

Also I sgin'd up on reddit. :P

Stuff to keep in mind:
Dwarf Fortress Wiki > DF2010:Sun berry > Bugs
Quote
Like all plants with the [GOOD] and [EVIL] tags, sun berries currently don't show up anywhere.

Update: I followed the bug report and learned more. It seems merely editing the [GOOD] and [EVIL] tags, by itself, may not be enough:
Quote
Good/evil plants/trees don't appear (feather trees, glumprongs, sliver barbs, and sun berries)
Quote
Deleting [GOOD]/[EVIL] tags in plant_standard.txt doesn't help, but is required with more editing to make some workaround (these trees will appear in any biomes - good, evil and normal):
http://pastebin.com/vc3fLvCD
This pastebin contains code fixes for the Glumprong and Feather Tree, but that's it. I'll have to dig around to see if there's a fix for Sliver Barbs and Sun Berries (if it's even possible without an official bug fix).
If you're using Winforms, you're probably most of the way to 2.0 compatibility.  Have you considered getting the code hosted somewhere like Google Code or Source Forge?  Even if you aren't directly taking contributions from the community, the extra eyeballs probably couldn't hurt.
Ok, I just downloaded this to see what it actually looks like and the first thing I noticed is that the Aquifers button tooltip has a very nasty, ugly and also terrible grammar mistake.
and what is it?
"you're entire fortress".

Any linux progress?  I keep thinking about playing this game again but I always remember most of my favorite tools don't run easily on linux.

If my urge becomes great enough, I might mess around with a Python/PyGTK equivalent, and make a Gentoo ebuild (maybe .debs, who knows) for it.

Actually, I started coding an LNP clone in Qt/C++ a while ago. School has been too time-consuming for me to make much progress recently, but now that I'm on winter break I'll start work on it again. There's still a quite a bit of work that needs to be done before it'll be ready for release.

Spoiler: Some Screenshots (click to show/hide)
With a few tweaks, it should also work on OS X, though I won't be worrying about that until I've finished with everything else.

Oooooh.
I know C++ quite a bit.
The only thing I'm worried about is the thing I'm working on right now, but regex is much easier in C++ :P
Dunno about lucas though >.>

Maybe its just me, but I keep getting an error when I try to run the LNP exe file.

Error: Failed to initialize correctly (0xc0000135).  Click ok to abort.

Im running windows XP, have downloaded twice now from each mirror, keep getting the same problem.

EDIT: Seems my parent's machine doesn't have .NET installed at all. Going to try that real quick.
EDITEDIT:  Yup, that did it.   Installed .NET framework 3.5 (man that is a big program) and the GUI loads up without issue now.  Looking forward to having nice buttons now, instead of for example editing files with notepad to remove aquifers.

I would definitely help out with this if you're willing to share the code or open source it.  Not just the development, but the packaging and distribution as well.

Hah, true.. I did make this account just to post that message. I've been lurking for months now, I swear!

I'm a Qt/C++ consultant in my day job (and open source hacker by night), so I can definitely bring some relevant skills to the table if he's interested.

Strange...
Can I have your system specs?
Also, is your GUI working?
