But they do all feature elaborate escapism, even if it is not in that exact format.

The prayer "fates/gods/whathaveyou don't fuck up my life" actually predates "help me" in terms of historical religious dialogue, and continues to this day though in a smaller portion than they have in the past. I don't consider that as escapism given that even secular people would wish that the universe at large doesn't fuck with them, and this just gives it a contextual voice.

The argument on its face makes assumptions that are generalized.

Eventually your god would probably just flick you out of existence because you're bugging it too much.

Not sure where to start on today.

That shit-head took over two hours to put a microwave in a shelf over the oven. Screamed at me quite a bit while doing it, too.

Then he went to go to a friend's only to find that his truck was stuck in ice. My mom and I got yelled at again because he couldn't get out no matter what he tried.

Then I got yelled at for not doing the dishes.

Then I got yelled at for trying to show my mom how to use the scanner. "I don't give a shit about learning how to do this, you're the computer person, you do it for me!"

Then it suddenly decided that it didn't want to work again after the new ink cartridge was inserted, flashing an "unknown ink volume" error, and turning back into an expensive brick.

University accommodation laughs at my petty wishes such as "Working heating" and "bathroom not going mouldy."

Yeah basically this.

Spoiler: Here's my method: (click to show/hide)
You may cause damage to the paint on the walls or the caulking, but if the uni cared they would have a maintenance person come by every time the dorms change occupants and clean and repaint. Like, you know, any legit landlord.

Prevention of mold: When the water is on, the window is open. Leave it open until the walls and mirror aren't wet anymore. For a shower this takes a bit but it's not an issue if the bathroom is just a toilet and sink.

I work so hard in arranging the blocks, but the landlord and taxman bleed me dry. But the workers will rise! We will not compromise, for we know that the old regime must die.

And so on and so on and so on.

I wonder characteristic something must have in order for me to be able to append that to it.
