Welp, dad's new amazing job turned out to be shittier than his last one, installing big ass compressors by himself and of course doing this without health insurance. He did not sign up for any of this shit and isn't worth it for the paycut and the expensive benefits. I sent him a company that is hiring other techs in his field that seems to be a high paying job but i don't know if it has the right conditions. We can't stay at this state though. This state will kill us: my dad will be overworked to his grave, this state does not have labor laws to protect his field or literally anything else. The shit air, the poisoned culture, i don't care if we have to live in poverty but i will not see our family be wasted in this goddamn valley.

If I ever see that doctor again, I'm going to yank out his spine and beat everything he loves with it.

I ripped out someone's spine two days ago.  For a student film.

Sorry about your anxiety.  I've gone a tiny way towards that (this year I got a lump in my armpit and mistakenly thought I had cancer) but I didn't have a doctor leading me on.

Med school cadaver?

Back when I was in Switzerland, we had a school doctor with an extreme case of fatsophobia. He told everyone he met to lose weight. It got hilarious once our local bodybuilder, an ex-marine 2-meter tall hustory teacher, went to him for a check up.

In the interest of fairness, here is a different viewpoint on the issue from a defense lawyer.

It's certainly worth a read once one's knee stops jerking from reading the first article.

Edit:  But, yes, I concur.  The public will be frothing at the mouth about this.  Until they get distracted by something else (possibly Obama-related) in a day or two anyway.

Hoohoo, yeah, "would_be_in_prison_if_poor = true". Stick a fork in the guy, he's done. Nevermind it's because of a shitty prison system, I don't think the general public is going to give a damn there.

Thanks for the article, though.

Funny how arguments about the lack of effectiveness of prison time only comes up when it's a filthy rich white guy's life on the line.

Lifting heavy things for a few hours.

Legs, sore. Feet, sore. Back, sore. Arms, sore...

The only part of me that isn't sore seems to be my head.
That comes later, after a night of drinking to forget the day.

Worked to the bone today. With only an hour left, I'm taken off doing the dishes(my specialty) to slice meat. This takes me 45 minutes, including complaining to the supervisor that I won't have time to take out the garbage and finish the dishes and catch the bus. I still had to do the garbage. And the bus was five minutes late. I could have used that time to talk with mu sweetheart, which I had a chance to.

Have to help my step-dad sort all of the stuff in our storage.

Does he ever stop insulting people? Seriously, I'm surprised he could ever find employees, let alone keep them. And his method of fitting things into shelves is to hit them until they fit. When he couldn't get a box to fit under a shelf, he kicked the shelf's legs until they buckled enough to fit the box.

And he was bitching me out for wanting to stop and eat. When I haven't even had breakfast, and I'm only eating lunch now at quarter to four.
