Trying to install Debian on an old computer using a netinstall image
It tells me there are non-free firmware files it's missing.
i google to get them. literally every one says something along othe lines of "yeah download them" I CANT DOWNLOAD THE FIRMWARE WITHOUT A WIRELESS ADAPTER AND ITS THE FIRMWARE TO THE WIRELESS ADAPTER THAT IM MISSING AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH FUCK

My stepdad had an appointment with some housing thing. Me, my sister, and mother had to go because for some reason they needed proof of income from all three of us and for some other reason we had to physically be there for them to legally see the proof of income, despite all three of us signing papers giving explicit permission to see that proof of income.

What me and my sister weren't told was the time we needed to go there. As it turns out, my mother wanted us to be up and getting ready to go at 8 AM, which is mostly possible(though undesirable) for me, but not so much for sister, Sleeping Bitchy. And in any case, we all get ready, and literally the minute we're about to walk out the door, they call and say they have to reschedule because the exact person we were going to see got sick. And what's even worse, we weren't 100% sure that me, my sister, and mother were really needed there after all.

i managed to solve it
and its only because broadcom are butts and dont allow their firmware to be packaged with linux distros.
i had to find a zip with the firmware, put it on a flash drive, plug it into the computer, hit yes 4 times, and THEN it worked.
goddamn
i also restarted the debian installation 2 times because once you press no at the screen where it says "load missing firmware from flash drive?" you CAN NEVER GO BACK TO THAT SCREEN EVER.

I want to punch anyone who says "it'll get better" in the mouth.  I postulate that you don't hear many people contradicting anyone uttering this platitude because the ones who would be most in the position to do so have already killed themselves.  Because, obviously, it never did get better for them. 

33 years and it has only gotten progressively worse with time.  I can't bring myself to suicide yet, but one of these days will push me over the edge.

So I'm here at school.
There is literally one other person with me here, and it's not even the teacher. The rest of my classmates either left or didn't go to school in the first place.

It's boring! Good thing my school ends on Friday, but if the rest of the week is gonna be like this I might as well just stay home at bed because really, I could just fall asleep here and nobody would give a fuck.

Mostly because there's no one who could give a fuck.


EDIT: Screw this, I'm back home now. Ain't got time to do nothing at school, might as well do nothing at home. Especially since apparently my mom got sick. Damn.
