I went to a night church service on Christmas back before I consciously made the decision to be an atheist.

I burned my hand because they made us hold lit candles with no friggin' holders.

That likely partially led to my current religious standing.

Christmas shall henceforth be known as International Family-Obligated Consumerism Day!

Oh sugar, that's what I forgot to do...

Hrm. Forgot my sister's main present. Well, she's gonna have to make do with the (no joke) book on knitting.

I can't say I was disappointed by Dragon Age 2's ending, (I knew it was going to suck) but it infuriated me all the same. The game always felt like it was forcing me to pick a side and then punishing me for choosing.

Why can't the atheists make up their own version of Christmas already? I hate how pretentious I sound when I say Yuletide.

Yeah, that definitely isn't any less re-
Solstice? After all, that IS the reason for Christmas. All this "Jesus" stuff was retconned in to Christianify the "Pagan" celebration. I know a few people who celebrate Hogswatch, so there's also that.
That is why I use the term "Yuletide"
But really, it's still religious.

...Dammit. :(

Isn't the atheist version of Christmas just Christmas but without the morning church service?

No, super early Christmas mass is the one service atheists still go to! :P

Ugh, ya, do not miss christmas eve and christmas morning service. So much church. Easter was worse, I used to alter serve the stages of the cross on good friday, whcih meant holding a heavy cross and standing at each of the damned stations while the priest rambled on. Was like an hour of this.
Frankly, christianities insistance on making Christmas a national holiday most places has kind of made it a non religious celebration at this point. Although, the religious christmas carols are way better.

I like super early Christmas service. It's cozy and atmospheric and if it's a good church you get glögg and gingerbread or Lucia cats afterwards.

Off to my brother's to celebrate Christmas. I'm not very keen on going somewhere were making me a mistake makes me a retard.
Even if he says it as a joke, I don't really appreciate it.

Similarly, there's no doubt that all of my clothes will be smelly(despite being washed before going) and my sister's won't be(despite her using the same washer I do). I'm really just sick and tired of my brother's shit, but I don't have a choice but to put up with it.

I've put up with terrible relatives before, but I draw the line at defecating in the washing machine.
