Graphical artifacts on a system that blows most current gen game requirements out of the water.

I mean, fucking seriously. I expect this when I'm slumming it below minimum spec...but it's like having a Hot Rod with a door that won't fucking close. Sure, it's a Hot Rod and it drives all fast, but you can't ever really enjoy it because you've got one hand holding the fucking door shut.

League of Legends just released a new character, and surprise!  His ultimate skill is extremely overpowered.  It's an AoE taunt (not so bad) that forces all nearby enemies to physically attack it (sounds like a disadvantage, cool) then releases a huge burst of damage based on the damage he took, usually wiping a whole team because the taunt lasts long enough to allow the rest of the new guy's team to lay waste to the enemy team.  And he gains ability power based on how much magic defense he has.  In other words?  If you ability range him, you do nothing.  If you team up and close range him, he nukes you into outer space.  If you solo/two man him, he rapes you horribly because he can.  Well done League of Legends, well done.

To think I liked this game for it's balance, what the heck!?

Dude, is this the first champion release you see, or something? It's always that way. They stay imba for 2-3 weeks and then get nerfed.

I figured that since LoL is a newer game AND the developers brag about being better than DOTA that they would figure out how to make a balanced champion by now.  Vladimir wasn't so awful, plenty annoying yes, but isn't a "wipe a team in a few seconds" kinda guy.  Xin Zhao on the other hand!...  Nope not my first champion release, just upset.  I left Ragnarok Online because of the absurd balance issues, I figured newer games would have improved on that issue by now.

Well, don't worry. Apparently Valve is getting on one the game too, and is making, I think, an official DOTA game. So people will have a plethora of approaches to choose from in the genre.

Man, I'm so frustrated with my rebuild, and this upgrade in general.

Everything has "worked", but not well. All my games have graphic artifacts. All the things I used to know how to do, to get old games to run--don't work anymore. The work arounds I find for Win7 just get longer, more tedious and more ambiguous. Games that I had no problems with on an older, weaker system now crash inexplicably.

Argh. I guess this why I've avoided upgrading for so long. After a comfort period, you get to know your PC and its quirks. But when you gut it from the top to the bottom, you get a whole new set of complications and problems. I think I've done less gaming this week than in a whole year, just because of futzing around, reading tech forums, pulling my PC apart and putting it back together. Getting totally downtrodden fucking around with this thing, just trying to play to games I've had working in the past.

Oh. Right, that's more whiny than ragey. GAH MOTHER FUCKER JUST FUCKING WORK RIGHT RRRRRAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
