My first PC was a Dell 386/33. After that, I did a custom-built 486/66, and I've essentially had that same computer for the last 15 years. Sure, every part has been replaced three or four times in that amount of time (including the case), but never all at once, so as far as I'm concerned it still has the same "soul".

I can feel the whir through my beeeeedddddddd.

Frakking fan. Thing. Or whatever the hell's loose in this damn laptop. Soon as th'bloody technical manual gets sent (*checks* Ah, it's sent. Okay!), it's laptop disassembly time.

Because my bones are humming lightly and this is driving me up the wall.

That actually sounds mildly pleasant for some reason. Maybe because I like those vibrating chairs.

It's not terrible for a short amount of time. Problem being is it's constant, and accompanied by a horrifically annoying racket. Which is why the thing's about to come apart and get fixed. Hopefully into a state in which it still functions and doesn't make whirring noise.

I discovered a horrible secret about the all beef frozen pre-formed hamburger patties sold at wal-mart.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Only the outside 2mm are meat. The center is a frozen disk of water, blood and protien that has had meat wrapped around to make it seem like solid ground beef.

Now you know what happened to all those elderly Wal-Mart greeters they got rid of?

I have a prebuilt ^_^;  Has served me well for like... three years?  Had to replace the power thingy though, the old one became ineffeicent after a while.
I'm currently on an HP desktop that's at least 7 years old, if not more. (I don't remember exactly when my family got it, but I know it's been around since at least my freshman year of highschool, since it had Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds on it before I had to wipe it earlier this year, and one time I had a seizure while playing that game, and the last time I had a seizure was my freshman year.) Now, granted, it only has a 2.60Gz processor and 512MB of RAM, and neither the CD drive nor the DVD drive work anymore, but, otherwise, the thing works just fine.

There was a food fight at my high school. It became the subject of the day. Spoilered for big bold curses.

Food fights, yes, you have a point with.
Hitting someone with an egg from three tables away to prove you're right on the other hand, is worth it for what resulted afterwards.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

So long as they weren't throwing trays or silverware or something, that sounds kinda awesome.

My high school was full of fuddy duddies.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
