I'm getting rather sick and tired of my pastor insisting that Christianity must "step on people's toes" and "make them emotional"

I'm mostly getting tired of "salvation" pastors who attempt to scare people into Christianity, it's pointless and it's likely just to piss people off or, even worse, make them unreceptive to ministry in the future.

You can't make algebra students love math by threatening to cut their balls off if they don't, and you can't make gentiles love god by threatening them with hellfire if they don't.

Some belated LucasArts raeg for you.

Quote
Eventually, as seemed to be a pattern at LucasArts, they were all axed. Of course, cancellations are not abnormal in the iterative world of game development, where projects shift and disappear all the time. What made LucasArts different was the studio's tendency to cancel finished projects—games like Death Star and Outpost had already gone through QA testing and were very close to being shipped, according to two sources.

I only vaguely remember Starwars 1313 but now I wants it. :( I guess I'm not so much raging over this as I thought it was a pretty interesting look at how the sausage (doesn't) get made and wanted to share...although for a Starwars's fan there's plenty to get angry about in it.

Party this Saturday with someone I thought was my friend.
No invite forthcoming.
Only even know about it because literally the only guy i trust mentioned it. none of my other 'friends' bothered to say.
I mean, sure I may just be paranoid, but no one ever bothers to tell me anything. If people don't like me, why can't they just have the balls to say it to my face?

Ask? Don't assume the worst given a situation? Friendship is a two-way street?

Similar situations have happened many many times. Plus, if I ask, too many people would just say they slipped up anyway because they  won't say. Speaking rather unfortunately from my own experience here. Admittedly it doesn't quite fit the situation and I probably am just being paranoid, but I can't help it. Which just makes me angry at myself instead.

So, I've been locked out of my house a few times in the last month, and I decided to learn how to pick locks today.
But I couldn't find any pliers, so I am using terrible, terrible picking tools. Those darned tumblers keep popping out D: I can manage to get like 3 of them but then they pop back out with an infuriating click.

All the people in the videos make it look like locks don't even exist D:

how do you get locked out of your own house to begin with and is it not easier to prevent it than to pick your own lock? ???

I don't bring my key because I figure the other people living here are going to be around when I get back, and then they decide that one time to remember to lock all the doors.

Also, I could just bring my key...but that is not nearly as cool as being able to pick a lock. So I am going to keep trying this until I get the back door to open.

... bringing key is good, yes. Never leave place of residence without a way back in.* Key is generally least painful way of doing that. Also least likely to get neighbors to call cops on you, or cause damage to your locks.

*I honestly cannot comprehend how many people do that, so very regularly. It's just... why? It takes seconds to slip key into pocket. So very little effort, potentially saving so very much effort ;_;
